We're saying Boston shot themselves in the foot by missing 45 of 60 three-pointers and the Knicks squeaked by with a 3-point win in OT, sure.

The way they played last night? No way they shot themselves in the foot last night, unless they were aiming for their hands or something.

But Phantom has the right attitude. New day, on to Cincinnati.

If they'd aimed for their feet last night, they probably would've sank a few more shots.

Tatum would be switched on to Brunson a handful of times and still settle for a stepback 3. Really?? Tatum started the game with 13 points on 4-5 shooting. The last 3 quarters + OT? 10 points on 3-18 shooting. Just stupid.

It's similar to how last year these West teams just purposely made it easy for Dallas to hide Doncic on defense and not exploit that. C's and Tatum allowed Thibs and Brunson to do the same last night particularly in the 2nd half.

Half of the Knicks were in foul trouble and then in the 2nd half they just stopped attacking and trying to at least draw some more fouls

For the life of me, I can't figure out why so many players and coaches don't try to get the opponent in foul trouble; or, once they are in foul trouble, attack them more to get more foul shots and/or easy layups.

I will say, I did think there were parts of the 2nd and 3rd where a player who had 3 fouls did commit an obvious foul, but the refs let it go. Obviously they didn't want someone to pick up a 4th early. So there is some of that going on, for both teams. Like Jrue should have probably had 4 fouls by halftime but they let an obvious one go late.

That said, C's didn't make things hard on NY at all in the 2nd half. Lot of early shotclock 3s and less attacking/driving. At least attack Brunson more, he can't play any defense

They better crush the Knicks tomorrow the same way the Pats crushed CIN that year  :)

I have no real words about last night.

I'm not sure I've ever been that infuriated at a Celtics team while the game was still in process.

It was probably the willful stubbornness to refuse to change things, even as things went against them. And to top it all off, we still had a chance to win despite playing so bad and blew it. Which was for the better probably.
