This trade idea was broached by Roy, and looking into it, there is definitely some theoretical merit. I have expanded the trade to (further) reduce team salary.

Boston Celtics

Outgoing: Brown, Holiday, Hauser, Prichard, 2025 1st round pick, 2025 Wizards 2nd round pick, 2027 1st round pick, 2031 1st round pick

Incoming: Giannis, Reaves

Milwaukee Bucks

Outgoing: Giannis

Incoming: Brown, Hauser, Prichard, 2025 Celtics 1st round pick, 2027 Celtics 1st round pick, 2031 Celtics 1st round pick

Los Angeles Lakers

Outgoing: Reaves, Vincent, Kleber

Incoming: Holiday

Brooklyn Nets

Incoming: Vincent, Kleber, 2025 Wizards 2nd round pick

Lakers give up too much to get an over the hill Jrue. And they won't help the Celtics by giving them Reaves and helping them get Giannis

Yeah, the Celtics are giving up a ton here. Pretty sure every competitive team in the league would take Jrue over Reaves for the next couple of years. Reaves is going to need to get paid anyway

This might be the best trade package the Bucks front office could receive.

Houston have been floated as a potential suitor, but given how well the Rockets have done this season and how young their core is, they might not want to make such a huge trade. Also factored into the equation is that the Bucks do not have any of their upcoming picks until 2031, so they need to stay competitive, and yet I am sure Giannis would be very selective of teams he would want to join. This really narrows down the number of potential trade partners.

Lakes give up too much??  The Celtics give up way too much.

Giannis is 6'11, only 30 years old, almost never gets injured and just finished the regular season with a 30 ppg, 12 rpg, 6.5 apg, 1 spg, 1.2 bpg.

I would say the Celtics are getting a steal.

I don't like giving up Pritchard. He's our 6th man and a great backup guard on a very affordable contract.

If we give up Holiday, we need to find a cheap lead guard replacement.

JB plus extras for Giannis makes sense.

We might also finally want to move on from Porzingis in a different deal. He's a unicorn but his injury concerns are constant. We could seek to downgrade in talent but get a more reliable option at 4/5. Plus Horford isn't going to play forever so a starting caliber big is going to be needed.

I have a tough time seeing the Celtics near the top of the list for Giannis unless the Tatum injury is not that bad.  Unfortunately I cannot see Giannis deciding to sacrifice a year with Tatum out for the full year.  Seems like Giannis is destined for one of the teams in Texas or Oklahoma I feel.

Lakers just getting holiday is not what they would want
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Lakers do not trade A Reaves for Jrue Holiday.

Jrue is too old. Not enough value for Reaves.

a Giannis trade makes way less now than it did before imo. If Ginnis wants out not sure why his plan would be to go to a team taking a gap year.
