Tatum 6 points, 3-9 shooting. Come on dude...

Yeah, Tatum needs to stop settling for tough fade away shots over guys that are 4 inches shorter than him.  Attack the rim and rack up the fouls.  The orlando aggressive def is just going to tight up harder around the perimeter until we burn them and go to the rim.

got to hand it to the Magic they are playing hard on def.

Double bigs are just making things bog down on offense and just to slow on defense. Really stupid decision by Joe.

Another way to look at it. KP, Jaylen and Tatum were bad and we're down 1.

Magic all of the sudden Golden State from 3. Every rebound bounces their way. Every ball on the rim bounces in for them.

Tatum is just invisible. KP is terrible and Holiday looks like he is 60. Play PP.

There?s no positive to being down to a mediocre play in team in the first home game of the playoffs?like the spirit though

Looks like the usual lackadaisical 3.30pm effort from our team?I hope Joe gives them a real spray about their effort at halftime  >:(

That's why I didn't think this would be a sweep. Called the C's in 6, but if the slugfest Celtics keep showing up then this will be a 7 game series.

Means they never broke out of their funk and having a championship hangover. Against a vastly inferior Orlando Magic team. Prepare to see 2022-2023 Playoff Celtics again.

lakers lose and you predict they'll win the next four.  Celtics trail by a point at halftime and you think they'll need seven games to win four.

Magic are getting away with a lot on both ends. Jaylen should've been to the line 10 times.

Not surprising. This team historically sucks at home in the first round of the playoffs. Usually it is game 2 but I guess today it is going to be thing.

Game 1 is always the easiest to steal in a series and the Cs are just playing like it is mid Jan.

We're playing Orlando's game.  They want to brawl in the mud.  We're brawling in the mud.  Slow, ugly ball.

I like a lot of what we're doing on defense, but we aren't finishing possessions with a rebound.  10 offensive rebounds for Orlando in that half.  Slow to some loose balls.  The only ways Orlando gets quality shots are either Banchero/Wagner getting downhill on a mismatch or on a busted play where they win a 50/50 ball and hit an open shooter.

Time for Tatum to stop being so dang guardable.  That jumpshot is busted again.  Guess what he keeps looking for anyway?  Brown is at least making an effort to get to the rim, but he quietly gets one of the worst whistles in the league and I don't understand why.  And KP has to be stronger with the ball.  He's a walking turnover whenever Orlando collapses on him in the post because he doesn't see double teams.

That is because he is a Lakers fan.

Embarrassing effort, particularly from our stars. Clearly taking the Magic for granted, even though they?ve historically played us tough.

Yep. Plodding on offense. Standing around. No pace or tempo. We know then this team does not play well on offense they don't defend.
