I thought we were due a letdown game after OKC.  That came to pass... I thought we looked crummy but we did enough to beat a freefalling Miami team anyway.  I'll take it.

If this is Jrue rounding into shape for the stretch run, that would be a big positive to take from this one.  I don't expect him to put up 25 most nights but I do want him to hit shots and be a scoring threat.

Always feels good to stick it to Pat Riley.

Miami is 8 games below .500 and they are gonna likely host the first play-in game (9 vs 10)

Heat's offense is just horrible.  Can't see them getting out of the playoff rounds

Yeah I hope we play them or Atlanta/Chicago first round. Even with Wiggins, Bam and Herro the Heat just lack firepower, and Porzingis in particular if he plays would just overwhelm them all
I'm not worried about any of the play-in teams although I do think Orlando could be a handful if they're healthy.  their size seems to present an issue

It?s sad how Scary Terry?s game has fallen off the cliff. He was supposed to be Miami?s key deadline acquisition last season. Now he?s not even playing.

Yeah Orlando's my only worry. They could push us to a tricky 6th game. I know they've been inconsistent but Banchero is still a great player and their size is a bit tough

This.

I need to see Jrue have a few more games like this to have a real comfort level with what he can provide us in the playoffs this year.  his game's been off most of the season but tonight was how he played last season -- able to step up his scoring when we need it

I don't think Orlando is a threat without Suggs.  He's that backbone of that team imo.  I like Banchero (or at least I did to start the season, he's been a bit rough since coming back from the injury) but they just don't have enough to win a playoff series.

Think that might have been Jrue?s best offensive game of the year. Maybe that time off for his injured fidget was what he needed.

Yeah none of these teams are beating us in the first round, but I just think Orlando is the only one capable of pushing us beyond 5 games. That's all. I would prefer we try and have an easy path again if possible and keep it as short as possible particularly in the first round.

If him and Jrue can knock down some shots then we're tough to beat. MEM and OKC have executed a gameplan where we force one or both of those guys to shoot open 3s and it's actually worked fairly well, but I will agree with Mazzulla and analytics in that it'll be tough for many teams to beat us in a 7-game series using that method especially if we're healthy, KP included.

I still trust both guys to defend well when it counts.

I think they'll get a week off at some point late in the month or early April, to tune up for the playoffs. It seems both guys benefit greatly from some games off.
