At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Joe's timeout turned the game around.

If Hart wants to double team someone and try to D up Jrue when we're clearly taking an intentional shot clock violation, just shoot it.  Screw that garbage.

Lol what in the world is Towns doing back out there in a 20 point game with only 3 minutes to go?? Thibs is never going to beat the allegations lol

What is Thibs thinking?

I was thinking the same exact thing.  Towns looked hurt, wth was he out there down 20 with 2 min left?
Thibs...man, never changes

C's should've just scored the last two possessions instead of dribbling it out. It's not fair that the opposing team nailed a 3 and tried to score the second time.

Yeah, changes our DIFF...

The win is the most important. Thibs is a better defensive coach than a head coach...

How does Josh Hart get away with that constantly moving screen?

I wish PP got to run the team when Tatum is on the bench. I'm also glad we traded Smart and kept Pritchard.

Knicks fans must be very disheartened by now.  They haven't beat the top teams in the NBA.  While that doesn't really matter too much come playoff time, the evidence points to the Knicks being a 2nd tier team.

Shows how difficult it can be to build a true contender.  They have a lot of very good players, but there are holes defensively and they need a better bench.

The Knicks had an awesome 3rd but they just seem outmatched by Boston. And funny enough, in the first two games the C's didn't have guys playing (Porzingis, Jrue 1 game, etc.). NY is missing Robinson but idk how much of a difference that'll make. I actually thought the C's were missing a bunch of easy shots early in the game and yet they still went up 20+ pretty easily.

The Knicks traded 5 first round picks for Bridges and he's been mostly useless against the elite teams. Don't let the 14 points fool you, 8 of them today came in the final 2 minutes of garbage time. Not good enough at all. And that's not even factoring in that guys like Tatum, Mitchell, etc. are punking him defensively.

KAT played 39 minutes today including the final 4 while having a hobbled knee. That's Thibs' basketball, baby! This is also what dooms the Knicks come May, a bunch of their guys get fatigued and/or banged up. Same thing happened with OG, Hart, etc. last year late in the Pacers series that they went on to lose in Game 7.

I hope the standings stay the same with us at 2, and New York at 3. That should be a favorable 2nd round matchup for us assuming we advance past the first round. I would be stunned if NY could take more than a game from us in a series. Most of these H2H games haven't even been close outside of the 3rd quarter today. I'm surprised because I thought NY was loaded going into the season but their defense is still iffy and some of their other key guys besides Brunson are inconsistent. KAT put up 24/18 today but he was useless for most of the first half and defensively he's a terrible matchup for NY against us.

I wonder if Thibs will be asked about Townes being on the floor with an injury with 2 minutes left, down 20 ?
I will forever love the guy because of the defense he constructed for the Garnett team. What a pleasure they were to watch, 5 guys on a string.
But, yeah, he plays his guys into the ground everywhere he has been.
