This is not a big board but rather just a way to categorize what I am hearing on Pods and reading online regarding what I would guess to be the top half of this draft class

Lottery Locks
Flagg (nothing to say)
Harper (fit with Spurs will be the debate leading up to the draft)
Edgcome (I am starting to think team will feel safer with VJ than Bailey but know Ace has the higher ceiling)
Bailey (appears to be the polarizing guy at the top of the draft not 6?10 as advertised and gave what some see as immature answers in interviews
Johnson (measured well and his shot gives him real allstar potential)
Knueppel (everyone seems to love Kon and he is being talked about as a very safe pick)

Almost locks in lottery but?
Fears (team fit based on how the lottery order fell)
Maluach (visa status with a slight * for roster fit)
Queen (team will have to be willing to build around him)
Murray-Boyles (shot could scare off some teams)
Jakucionis (is he really a PG of a secondary creator small wing?)
Newell (classic PF, not an archetype coveted in the modern NBA)

Had Lottery hype in the recent past but?
Richardson (size hurts him at only 6?05? 178lbs will need to convince teams he is a PG)
McNeely (college production hurt his stock, but measured well at combine)
Traore (was viewed as a top 5 prospect in the preseason but didn?t live up to hype)
Demin (shot lights out early in the college season and looked like a top 5 lock, shot is now a real question mark)

Draft risers who are getting potential lottery Hype
Essengue (the draft loves the late rising tall young athletic swing for the fence prospects. He came on late with productive playoff games)
Bryant (an athletic defender with great positional size who can hit 3s despite lack of stats in college has indicated to ESPN he is staying in draft)
Coward (he measured and interviewed great, this coupled with great stats all be it on a small sample size)
Raynaud (as a true 7?1 skilled and very productive big man he was bound to climb boards, also played great in scrimmage dark horse for a promise)

Maybe not lottery bound but they are not returning to college (per espn?s Borzello)
Sorber (he measured really well at combine with a 7?6? wingspan by staying in the draft he is all but a lock for the 1st round)
Philon (this one surprises me but he is staying in so must have a level of confidence that he is going in the 1st)
Powell (elite defensive prospect who needs to figure out his offense)

The group that I haven?t heard a lot about but?.
Wolf (not a fit for every roster but a dynamic offense big who may struggle on defense)
Clifford (older well rounded wing who is a play now pick)
Beringer (raw super athletic big who I have heard/read zero about in recent weeks)
Fleming (had great measurements but is still being mocked late 1st by the main stream)
Lendenborg (measured really well and sounds like he had a strong combine but is reportedly 50/50 on going to Michigan)
Clayton Jr. (another player who I haven?t heard about at combine, but he is a safe pick for a team looking for a rotational guard)
Advalas (measured well for a wing with real on ball ability also buzz that he could go NCAA route)
Condon (sounds like he could go back to Florida)
Kalkbrenner (his measurements where known from previous combine but as expected he is huge, also getting a little Givony hype as a shooter)

I also wanted to add what I think is an interesting piece of speculation from Sam Vecenie on his podcast. To Paraphrase they where discussing the potential landing spots for Fears. They came to the conclusion that so few teams are likely to be looking for PGs that Fear's range could be very volatile ( I believe they said 5th at the earliest and I forget what they set and his floor maybe Wiz at 18?). This is relevant to the Cs because I wonder if say Traore slips into the early 20s do the Cs explore moving up for him? My logic would be that the Cs know Jrue is going to have to be moved so why not try to secure a developmental guard of the future who has a high ceiling? Traore isn't a perfect prospect but at one time he was viewed as a top 5 pick and with nearly identical measurements to D White he is a nice fit for the Cs defensive identity.

Former Rutgers star Ace Bailey has canceled a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers, sources told ESPN.

Bailey, the No. 3 prospect on ESPN's big board, was slated to fly to Philadelphia on Friday for dinner with the team's front office and a private workout, but elected to cancel Wednesday, sources told ESPN.

The 76ers own the No. 3 pick in Wednesday's draft at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Bailey's predraft strategy has perplexed NBA teams over the past month, as he is currently the only U.S.-based prospect yet to visit any clubs. He has declined invitations from multiple teams in his draft range, which is considered to be anywhere from No. 3 to No. 8.

Fear of being exposed?

Maybe something will pop up in a physical?

Wasn't he at the combine?  If so he'd have to go through medicals which all teams would have access to the report.  It is puzzling that he won't workout for anyone.  If you want to drop to a bad team why not work out for them?  Maybe his agent said in order to drop you can't workout for anyone.  This is very odd.

Regardless I think all draft prospects have to go through medicals which all teams get access to.

I haven't been able to watch many college games this season and have had very little focus on this years draft but the past week I have started looking to see if anyone projected in the late 1st/early 2nd stands out to me as potential Celtics picks.

The two guys who stand out so fare are

Eric Dixon
from Villanova, he is about as old of a college NBA prospect as you will see at 24.4 on draft night. This is historically a red flag but for a Celtics team that will be looking for cheap plug in role players Dixon is an interesting fit. His shooting splits are elite for any position let along a 6'8 (with out shoes), 265lb, 7'ws big man. He is currently shooting 42% from 3 on 7 attempts and 84% from FT on just under 6 attempts! He is the same level of shooting prospect out of college that Scheierman was last draft. His ability to defend will be the question but that is typically not an issue for Villanova prospects.

Maxime Raynaud
from Stanford, he is a 7'1 french center who is having a statistically dominate senior season at 20pts 11rb. At 7'1 he is very effective dribbling, passing and shooting at the college level. That coupled with his international experience/success playing for the French junior team makes him a high floor big man prospect on my board. If Luke leaves as a FA he is a nice developmental option to plug into the big rotation who may yield a higher than expected ceiling, in much the same way Santi Aldama has surprised for Memphis.

Bumping my first post for the 2025 draft in hopes that it is good luck towards Raynaud being the pick at #32!!

I don?t love the two night draft thing, but I do think it?s cool that 12 guys were invited for the 2nd night, as well. It?s more of an experience for these guys.

I remember meeting Jordan Mickey back on draft night in 2015, but those guys are typically just in the audience somewhere like Yang was last night

That hurts. Wonder what Brad sees as the separation between Fleming and whoever they take. But Fleming made sense to me - drafting two tough, energy guys with strong defensive expectations.
But you never know - could look back on this as good fortune.  Time will tell.

I?ll guess is Raynaud.
