I feel like this kid has done all he can to earn a shot, but I can't for the life of me figure out how he gets one. His skillset doesn't fit what Boston needs. Is he enticing enough for a team like Brooklyn, which has no interesting guards aside from Cam Thomas, to take a flyer on him? Even if he were, I can't assume that he'd have enough value to get anything more than a conditional second back, so we'd basically just be trying to do the kid a favor. Maybe we'd do that, I don't know.
He's the basketball equivalent of a AAAA player. Fortunately he's still just 22, so there's plenty of ball in front of him.
I think he gets a non guaranteed contract with the Cs next year. I am not sure Al, Springer or Luke are back next year. AL may retire, Springer will depend on how his offense develops and Luke should get an offer for more that the minimum. JD give the Cs a ball handler off the bench to hopefully give Holiday and White some relief.
