Payton Pritchard Appreciation Thread

Setting aside his incredible shooting, playmaking and ball-handling, it is clear that PP has improved significantly on defense. Of course he will always be a bit short, but he is a bulldog who stays in front of his man and has a nose for the ball. The guy is a baller and the ultimate competitor.

43% from 3 while shooting bombs consistently well beyond the 3-point arc, in addition to end of quarter heaves.  PP is a uniquely gifted competitor.

I'm very grateful that he seems much more content wit his role and that we retained him.   Recall his trade requests just a few seasons ago.  Then we locked him up on a remarkably team-friendly contract.  Huge asset since the day we drafted him.

Went to the game against the Wizards last night.  He and Hauser look great!  And PP looked solid on defense as well.  If we can stay healthy, I think our shooting is going to be too much for anyone in a seven-game series...Fun fact - we have more wins at Capital One Arena than the Wizards.

Pritchard and Bane were the two players I really wanted in that draft. Shooters with skills that love to play Basketball. I kept herein how Pritchard had no NBA skill ( I replied that he had two, shooting and ball handling. I wasn't sure the rebounding would transfer but it did.) Bane was my other guy ( I was told he had no position in the NBA and had short arms and could guard. That was all wrong.)

I know this may be a little hard to read if it doesn't line up but this is stats for "bench" players per NBA.com.  Not a lot of surprises but Chris LeVert is +9.5 in his 24.5 minutes off the bench (20 games played, 0 starts).  Even better shooting percentages than Payton Pritchard.  And more assists also.  I am not saying that Pritchard isn't the leader in the clubhouse for 6MothY, but LeVert could be a quiet contender.

Honestly if I had to root for a 3-win team right now with that clown Jordan Poole as my "alpha" I would probably go into depression and never show up lol. I give kudos to any Wiz fan who goes to their games

I think every sports fan should be required to support a team that is historically and consistently bad.  It builds character.

Pritchard?s BBIQ is off the charts. He rarely makes mistakes out there. Career TO?s per game is 0.8. Feel like that doesn?t get talked about enough. It?s amazing what Pritchard is able to do as a 6?1? guard with average athleticism. So much fun to watch him play.
