I wanted TJD.  That said, NBA GMs did not, for whatever reason.  He went 57th.  It's hard to say that we missed "big time" by not drafting him.  But, as mentioned above, I did think drafting him made more sense than trading the pick to Atlanta.

The guy I *really* wanted in the second round was Leonard Miller, but after trading down we didn't get a shot at him.

The guy that Brad wanted was allegedly Maxwell Lewis, but he wanted a guaranteed deal, and we wanted him to play on a two-way.

Did we miss on a draft pick?  Sure, every team misses on picks.  So common that it isn't even worth fretting about.

Yup. As long as Boston doesn't miss on first-rounders, especially top-5 picks, we're good. If they'd drafted Fultz instead of Tatum, we'd be right to complain about that, lol.

They missed on Giannis for Kelly Olynyk

I'm still on my "we won Banner 18, I don't care" phase.

For a second, I thought we were revisiting the Jiri Welsch era.

Hah!  Jiri had some decent moments with us, unfortunately the first thing that comes to mind about him was that he was kind of clutzy on the court.  I?ve never seen a player trip and fall on the court as much as I remember Jiri Welsch doing.

I'm not going to say, big time.  Did they miss, maybe, but there are misses every year in the draft.  Tony Parker was the 28th overall pick in 2001!  He only was a 6 time all star and a 4 time champ!

I think the bigger miss was 2024 drafting Scheierman over Filipowski.  He would have been a built in Al replacement and filler for Porzingis.

Scheierman is more of a project than I expected but I still have a lot of confidence that he will develop. His BBIQ is high, is an excellent passer and he has a solid NBA body. I do not hold his age (24) against him.

Still hoping Queta can eventually replace Horford though their games are quite different.

Horford is a stretch 4-5. I don?t think Queta will ever be a real Replacement for Al.

I think the hope would be that Queta replicates Timelord's role on the 2022 team, and KP takes on a super-Horford role.  But, it's definitely not a perfect role, because Timelord and Horford were elite defenders, whereas Queta and KP (particularly at PF) aren't.

I'm hoping that Al plays until he's 50.  The Lebron health regimen.

What's funny of course is that like 90% of celtic fans were ecstatic about fultz.  But yeah, if we had drafted him we'd still be complaining because that is what we do =P.

Yes, we're good at complaining, and that includes me!
