64% from 2, 24% from 3.  That is 1.28 pts/2PA and 0.72 pts/3PA.  I don't think you need to be an analytics genius to see which shot you should be taking more of.

I agree 100% should be driving and also making more use of a host of excellent midrange shooters. But in terms of  analytics my guess is they count on 38plus% rather than 24% when they?re looking at their best bang.

Agree, this one game was not representative, but on the season, 57% on 2s (1.14 pts/2PA) and 37% from 3 (1.11 pts/3PA).  Plus, I don't know how to figure this but my guess is you get more 2nd chance points off 2PA, more fouls, and fewer fast break attempts by the other team.  Maybe more TOs with 2PA.

I am not saying don't take 3s.  Just looking for more balance.

Yes. And stop passing out of really good scoring opportunities in the labs to find a shooter beyond the perimeter.  Though I prefer that to covered iso dribble step backs.

Orlando holding their own without Banchero. And he is terrific. One of few players I?d trade a Jay for.  Orlando wouldn?t.  22 and already a superstar.

I went to the Wizards-Celtics game last night. Incredible, at least 2/3rds of the crowd was wearing green. In the 4QTR the majority of the crowd was booing Cory Kispert as he shot free throws, and cheered when he missed one.

It was like a road game for the Wizards.

A couple thoughts:

Bub Carrington (Pitt) is a punk. Always complaining, always grabbing and holding. He got matched up one-on-one against Luke Kornet and while standing in place he put on a dribbling display, through the legs, head fakes, shoulder feints, crossovers.... and then the whistle blew and the ref called him for a travel.

It was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Malcolm Brogdon was the best player on the floor behind Jaylen Brown. Tatum stunk it up (0-10 on threes, horrible defense, jogged back on D multiple times, stupid turnovers).

But Brogdon used his guile and strength to go 7-13 (1-1 from 3), 10 rebounds, 1 ast, 1 stl, for 18 points. And he sat the entire 3qtr.

Carrington and Poole did not take kindly to Brogdon's on-court coaching, but then they saw him methodically lead the Wizards to several leads, which were then lost when he went to the bench. Eventually they started dapping Brogdon up.

Unfortunately though, Brogdon could not stop Jaylen Brown who is just too big, and too strong for him. But he made Jaylen work.

Additionally, I would hate to be Jordan Poole's teammate.

The Wiz are so bad, the team is so young, and their only vets are Brogdon and Kuzma (and Kuzma is NOT a leader). It has to be so frustrating for Brogdon.

His portion of the hype video during pregame, he had an expression like "Please get me out of this place."

Good stuff.  Thanks for the recap.

It stinks how things ended here for Brogdon.  Seems like a guy just destined to play for bad teams.  I'd take him back in a heartbeat, but I don't know what his role would be here and I'm sure there is no way to fit his $$$.
Yup

TP for in person observations.  I too thought MB played well last night.
