I was so close to picking up Dyson Daniels for my fantasy team tonight, but decided against it because he was facing the Celtics. I just couldn?t pull the trigger on dropping Horford or Jrue. Big mistake

The fact that this team returns almost everybody from last year doesn't guarantee a repeat. This players are not mentally ready yet and seems to feel entitled to it.

We had a way easier road last year than in past years. I know we were missing KP, but every team we faced was missing their best player. Even Luka looked like he could barely move at times.

We still have a high ceiling with KP, but I?m not going to pretend that everything didn?t fall into place for us last year.

I mean, that argument would be more convincing if we didn't also dominate the entire season in historical fashion, too, so it wasn't just like it was an anomaly during the postseason. We were going to win regardless of who was put in front of us - Denver being the only team that had a legit shot to beat us.

That said, the point is still well-taken - nothing is guaranteed at all. But this team certainly seems like they think it is and are entitled to the same result.

This game turned with the Cs up double digits and they got a steal...JT pulled up from three with numbers instead of going to the rim and bricked it.

From that point forward things fell a part. JB missed 3 4th quarter FTs...turnovers and watching Atlanta get every board. Shameful.

This is the worst they have looked in a long time.

Already 2 horrendous losses at home.

Pick up Mathurin! I was going to drop Wiggins for him but someone snagged him before I could.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Cs now have lost 3 games by a total of 9 points. All winnable games that they started slow and fooled around. Then blew it in the end.

Burn that court and forget that stupid in season gimmick. Get the defense and rebounding fixed.

The defense and rebounding feel like effort problems which is not surprising. Feel like most champions have that in the following season. Not ideal but not super surprising. Just wish it wasn?t happening while also having Tatum play such high minutes as then it defeats the purpose really of saving the effort and energy. Thankfully we are in the East!

The extreme to which Joe is pushing this 3-point based offense is ridiculous. 50+ attempts per game.
So many of the attempts are not within any offensive flow with player movement and screening away from the ball to produce an open catch & shoot.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I meant that we were lucky because we were missing our 7?3? rim protector who averaged 20/8. With him, I don?t think it matters if teams were perfectly healthy. KP makes a humongous difference.

We are off to an okay enough start to this year, but we are going to need to KP back and to start playing with more urgency if we want to repeat. We always underperform in odd years and I?m hoping we can change that this year

Teams are licking their chops against the Celtics. Even guys like the Hawks, Pistons...Celtics could've easily been 6-6 with those last-minute swings from the Pistons, Nets, and Bucks.

12 games in, what's going on with the defensive effort, getting killed on glass, and the 3-ball offense. Maybe we really need to revive that old Joe thread again?

This is all mental...they took their foot off the gas when they had a 15 point lead. You can't take any team in the NBA lightly because anyone can go on a run. Then when it's a close game at the end, where the underdog believes they can win, anything can happen. That's the simplest and most obvious explanation. They need to go back to fundamentals, both in terms of execution and more importantly in terms of mindset.

Little bit of a cruise control mindset right now that they need to shake but, to be honest, you kind of expect that with a seasoned team.  Especially coming off a title.
