They're not repeating if they don't stop settling for.bad 3's.

They've not been enjoyable to watch lately.

I am more concerned about the defense

Those bad 3's are making it hard on the defense.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Walsh gives them little to nothing on both ends

Stats say the Celtics are taking 56.2% of their shot attempts from 3. Top in the league. The 2nd most attempts is the Charlotte Hornets at 50.2%. That is a huge gap.

Same as the gap from 2nd to 10th. League average is 41.9%.

So Boston is taking what ... roughly a third more shot attempts from 3 than the league average.

While I do like taking open 3s and/or setting up good looks from there and taking it, I'm just not a fan of this idea that we seemingly have to jack up 50-60+ 3s a game even if they are contested. We've already attempted 20 3s through 17 minutes and honestly a lot of them aren't even open looks, it's like we aren't even trying to maybe go inside or take easy jumpers.

It's something where they might get away with it due to talent but in a playoff series if they go ice cold from 3 a few games it could be rough.

They definitely were not *this* dependent on the 3 last year. Not to say it wasn't part of Mazzulla's philosophy but it wasn't this "excessive" either

And here's the thing. The first game for example where they tied a record for 3s, in that game NY left them WIDE OPEN most of the game. Fine. That's alright. It's just there's been other games where even if guys are covered or even doubled they still decide to chuck it up.

It's funny, when I see these teams play others they are trash. But against Boston it's like they can't miss and they got scrubs deciding to go off as well. Like what the hell...

In the last 5 games, including tonight, JB has been shooting 3/30 (10%) from 3pt range.

Does his injury still affect it?

I mean really, Nance Jr averaging 8 points a game already has 8. Then Dyson Daniels, on pace for probably 25+ tonight lol.

Tatum is way too careless with his passes and ball-handling tonight.
