Hard fought! Good game.

Could really use Hauser to find his shot. He hit a big one but really need his production w Brown out.

Ugly at times but any win is a good win.  Can't take a win for granted down two of our top three players.

Not an enjoyable game, but I'll take the win.

TPs and have a nice weekend all.

Played like crap and still won.  The C's have a lot to clean up on.  Specifically these rushed, forced, contested 3's.  We're a 3 centric team, but we don't need to take all of the awful shots we took this game.

  • GOT IT!!!
Is it too early to complain because I don?t like the way this team looks this season. The defense isn?t good and they are relying too much on 3?s because of it.

Getting pounded at the rim and glass. The Bucks suck but I feel like that?s a loss the way this team is playing right now. Probably get smoked honestly.

more good minutes for PP and Queta were the long term benefits of this game.

PP is feeling almost like a starter level player now.   Q is feeling like a contributor.

Every team is gonna give us their best shot. Ugly wins like this may happen more often than usual. Things should be better when KP and JB return.

I'd argue that Q has outperformed his contract just 10 games into the season.  He's been a major net positive in recent games.

PP is such a huge asset especially when we're shorthanded.  The guy is a fearless competitor.  I loved the pick from day 1.

The worst is Tatum's dribble-dribble-dribble step-back, contested 3's that he shoots with impunity.
Given that Mazzulla is so into stat-analysis driven strategy, I would love to see Tatum's % just on those specific attempts (gotta be in the 20's).

We were -14 in 6 minutes with Tillman playing with the starters.  The rest of the game we were +18.  I don't know what is going on with Tillman but until it is figured out, he shouldn't be playing.  Now that -14 was not all his fault.  He was 0-3 (all 3PA) with the rest of the team being 1 for 7 and 0 for 2  from 3.  They were essentially leaving him all alone and doubling everywhere else.

Overall, I think we are seeing an impact from not having Brown (and Porzingis).  White, Holiday, and Hauser were a combined 3 for 20 from 3 (that is 15%).  The efficiency for these guys goes way down when Tatum is the only real creator.  The shots they are taking are more difficult.  They double Tatum, and someone else has to create.

As others have said, they grinded out a win, which is great, but the team is not playing well.  Not having Porzingis is kind of accounted for, but with Brown out, you still need to find about 25 pts/gm from someone  (in addition to what you are losing for not having Porzingis).  It is clear that the team is having trouble finding those points.  When Kornet or Queta is on the court in place of Porzingis, you get away with it because of all the other scoring that is usually on the floor.  Now without Brown, we need even more from Holiday and White and others and it just isn't there.  This would be true of any team that was missing 2 of their top 3 players.

Yeah. I wonder when Brown will be ready. He's been out for quite a few games already. Hope the hip flexor isn't as bad as it sounds or we could be in for a long season
