Springer has zero offense whatsoever. I don?t see them giving him minutes at all this season

Same with Walsh. Send him to Maine

How did the refs miss that?

Drew just won the Mike Gorman broadcasting award for the year, with his subtle delivery of line, "You mean a Lebron teammate was made a scapegoat?"

Good game for the bench, while JB and Payton looked like they hadn't missed a beat.

Baylor Scheierman Looked bad. On both ends.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Overall, I would say that the Celtics did not look good.  No, I am not panicking, it is one preseason game played half way around the world, but 33% from 3 on 61 attempts?  Not pretty.  Tillman hit a couple of 3s which is promising, but he looked clumsy trying to finish near the basket and was just OK on defense/rebounding.

As to some of the new comers, Springer, Walsh, Scheierman all looked meh.  I didn't see any of the 4 minutes that Walker played.  Again, not worried, just stating the obvious.  Springer at least is an NBA-level defender.  Walsh was/is tentative, still not comfortable with the speed of the NBA game, but he is young still, I have not given up on him.  Scheierman so far, between summer league and this game, has shown nothing that I have seen.  He looks nervous to me.  So far, has not shown he belongs at all.  I am less optimistic with him than Springer or Walsh.

My takeaway is that, Lonnie Walker should absolutely have a role on this team as like the 10th man at least. Surely he can offer more and has the experience too.

I thought Walsh looked decent, definitely better than last season and the summer....9pts,4rebs,4assists, and 3blocks.

Sure, he is only 20, won't be 21 until March.  I did not think he progressed much based on summer league but he did look better in this game.  Like Springer (who just turned 22), I feel he is an NBA-Level athlete.  Just haven't seen the skills yet.  I feel like you could play Springer in actual games in an emergency role.  Still have not seen that in Walsh.  This first game was something to build on though.

Springer has a nice little drive and kick game and can finish around the rim but he needs a decent 3 point shot to be a modern NBA guard.
