I read an article that said he was but I don't think he's even top 20. Here's a list of players I feel are better and that's just off the top of my head:

Bill Russell

Michael Jordan

Larry Bird

Magic Johnson

Rick Barry

Wilt Chamberlain

Kevin McHale

Julius Erving

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Shaquille O'Neal

Jerry West

Hakeem Olajuwon

Kevin Durant

Kevin Garnett

Tim Duncan

Elgin Baylor

Oscar Robertson

Kawhi Leonard

Nikola Jokic

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Kobe Bryant

Lebron James

I agree with you that he's not top five, but disagree with a few players you have ahead of him.

I think that's my definitive top-7, in no particular order.  Nobody is breaking into that list any time soon.

I can make a slight argument for cracking Top-10, but that's it.

Top 15? Absolutely. Top 5? No way.

No Garnett, Duncan, Shaq, West, Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, Hakeem, Kobe, Giannis? I think maybe you could say Steph is top 20 If defense doesn't count. Steph is a very one-dimensional player. He's a better shooting  Reggie Miller in an age where defense is barely allowed to be played... I'd rather have Joker on my team than Steph... If I had five picks from the current NBA players I don't think I'd take Curry with one of those picks.

Why would any of those guys make the top seven?

West with better numbers and not 3 point line.

Jerry West: Pts 27 TBR 5.8 ast 6.7

Steph: Pts 24.8 TRB 4.7 Ast 6.4

That's one:

Can you not look things up?

All those guys played both ends of the court.

I think because he raised the value of the 3 point shot to a new level. I think Curry will be seen like George Mikan was when he was dominate as the first real NBA big man. He was first but not even considered a top 20 center today...

Curry is a great shooter no doubt but he's like Dame with better team mates around him. Would you say that Dame is a top 20 all time player?

Dame: pts 25.1 TRB 4.2 Ast 6.7

Steph: Pts 24.8 TRB 4.7 Ast 6.4

Maybe you should go back and reread the posts you've quoted?
