Jaylen said that he and Derrick are good and he called him after his cryptic posts just in case Derrick couldn't figure out what they meant.

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown said he called teammate Derrick White to make sure there was no "confusion" after Brown was critical of USA Basketball for not offering him a spot on Team USA.

Brown, named Finals MVP for the champion Celtics last month, was left off the original roster for the national team and was again passed over as a potential replacement for Kawhi Leonard in favor of White.

"I called Derrick right away," Brown told reporters Monday during the Celtics' summer league game vs. the Lakers in Las Vegas. "Just to make sure there's no confusion, my love for you and all of that. He knew that, and he did. You don't always gotta make everything public. Me and D-White are good."

So long as he's communicating to his teammates and they're with him, it's all good.

I am happy to see this come out.  I never was that worried about a rift between White and Brown, but obviously it is good to see this in any case.  I am still a little worried about Tatum and Brown though.  I am worried that Tatum could have some trouble with Brown getting equal or more limelight.  Hopefully it just motivates him to play better.  I think Tatum is the better player.  I actually think Brown will be aware of this and careful about the relationship.

Overall, Tatum is the better player. However, last year is the first time that I thought JB could get a bucket easier than Tatum. I think that has more to do with Tatum's shooting woes than anything.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

And how the defense was focusing on Tatum.  Brown did not face the same level of double (or more) teams.
