I thought he was already gone but Kemba Walker officially retired the other day.  He was a ton of fun to watch.  It?s too bad his body wore down like it did when he came here.  I still enjoyed the brief time where we got to see him shine in green.  He definitely made the Kyrie situation a little easier to stomach.  Anyhow?not a Hal of Famer but an electric scorer in his prime. He had a couple of amazing runs in Charlotte.

He carved out a better career than many thought he would or could coming out of Uconn. Shame his knee went with us but I always enjoyed watching Employee #8 MkII

Kemba joined the Hornets coaching staff.

Nice to see them bring Kemba back. The players all seemed to love him. I imagine he'll make a good coach.

Kemba was a good NBA player, esp considering his size issues. We got him too late in his career.

Yup. A very good NBA player, but he started breaking down shortly after coming to Boston.

Legendary college player. His run with UConn was amazing. Might be responsible for one of the best NCAA runs in history his junior year. Led the NCAA in scoring, 5 wins in 5 days to win the Big East tournament and then kept the streak going to win the National Championship.

His personality was a breath of fresh air after Kyrie left.  I wish it would have worked out better for him here.

All that being said.  I?m so glad we?re out of the business of having undersized score first point guards

I know they sadly didn't win it all with him, but I do think Ainge acquiring Kemba really helped keep things on course. You're right, he was a breath of fresh air the C's locker room needed after the whole Kyrie (and Rozier + Morris) drama. Things looked very ugly at the time and you wondered if the Jays were even gonna be willing to remain here. Horford had left too. Kemba seemed to help stabilize things though. Kemba also still keeps up with and hangs out with the Jays off-the-court and before/after games.

The kemba signing was a nice consolation prize after losing not only Kyrie, but also losing Horford as well to the sixers. that was a real bad offseason. honestly our team was really in pretty bad limbo until Brad decided to gut the team and keep what he felt was good in early 2022

Then, Kemba after being an iron man his whole career just broke down. Who knows had he stayed healthy and if Danny made an effort to bring back Horford what would've happened against Miami in the ECF.

was watching clips online from that season. have to say, Tatums jumper looked alot different and alot smoother.

Horford had already agreed with Philly, there was no effort to be made... he didn't give them the chance.

Everyone likes to say how much tatums gotten so much better, and sure his playmaking got better and he?s stronger but just watch old games, overall he?s regressed scoring the ball and his jumper is kinda broken.

The biggest value Kemba provided us was to be able to bring back Al from OKC. I also enjoyed him as a player even though he was kind of damaged goods already when he got to us. Just liked his attitude. Certainly can't complain about the career he had.

What's really weird is that, in addition to being a much better basketball player now, Tatum's also shooting the ball better than he was back then.
