Someone please confirm, is my math right?

Thing is Gordo could be useful here and might help his career but I think he considers himself an elite starting player still when he is not.

Dario Saric is still out there. So are Lonnie Walker and Saddiq Bey (Bey is still recovering from an ACL injury but even if he came back like late winter/early spring he could help)

This is correct. The brackets were 5.0 million last year, they expand by the same percentage as the cap. So they should now be (140.588/136.021)x5=5.168.

Also the C's aren't in the repeater tax this year, so the 6'th bracket is taxed at 4.25x.

Looking at the C's cap table its hilarious how expensive they will be next year. If you plug in Scheierman's contract they will have 10 guys under contract next year for 215.47 million. That's with nothing for Al Horford (or a Horford replacement), and nothing for Sam Hauser. Even if you filled out teh team with min guys you be nearly 35+ million over the tax.

This is correct. The brackets were 5.0 million last year, they expand by the same percentage as the cap. So they should now be (140.588/136.021)x5=5.168.

I don't think a move will be made until after the 25-26 season.  Zinger and al will be off the books.  The cap is supposed to go up by 10% each year with the new tv deals.  There is a possibility the cs won't need to trade anyone but their bench will be all of our pocks and vet minimum deals.

But the bigger issue is that Hayward wants a large role on a team, and if not that certainly more playing time than he got in OKC, and the Celtics can?t promise that.

I would wait till buyout time around March..might get a pretty good player..never know what kind of injuries can occur by then

Don't believe we can participate in the buyout market if we are over the 2nd apron if the player's salary was over the MLE.
