Just asked Jayson Tatum if he was sick, he told me, ?No, I?m good.?

Wow.  F kerr.  You bench one of the best 7 players in the world and for what reason?  I hope JT drops 60 on the warriors when they play and Tatum walks right past Kerr and ignores him.  What a Richard (apparently I can't say the other name for Richard on this board)

So I guess Tatum isn't good enough to play for this team?

He hasn?t been playing well for a while now. Love him, super happy he won a title in Boston and they finally did it but he was mostly average at best through the playoffs. Celtics just had an amazing team and there?s a reason Jaylen brown won the mvps.

Tatum led the Celtics in both the Finals and ECF in points, rebounds, and assists, and was consistently guarding Centers. He probably deserved at least one of those awards.

Besides, it?s a totally stacked team. You play your guys - even for just a few minutes - in 26 point blowout. Putting Tatum out there wouldn?t have lost them the game. He?s also one of the most versatile players in the NBA; it?s not like he can only play behind Lebron and KD

He kinda played his way out of the rotation imho.  With Durant coming back, somebody needed to sit.

So you have minutes for 11 players but not 12? If you want to play 8-9 that?s fine. All but Tatum? Seems like there are other factors involved.

What other factors would there be?  Anti-Celtic bias?  Didn't stop Jrue and White from playing.

Celtics fans want this to be a scandal so badly but the guy didn't play well in the tune-up games.  They need Tatum to shoot but his jumpshot is broken, so the minutes went elsewhere.  I'm fully on board with 'F Kerr' for the record but not for this.

I appreciate the league giving the Celtics even more motivation to win banner 19.

I don?t think we have to worry about this team being complacent next season.

Don?t care who it is. This will only motivate Boston next season. Banner 19 incoming.

He averaged 22 points, 8 rebounds and over 7 assists in the finals. Played really well on defense. Why is this not good enough?

Jump shot is broken? You can say that about a lot of guys on Team USA. Other than KD I don't see many guys hitting their 3s.

I don't like Kerr but it is more that he struggles with his rotations on this team. He is no Coach K who seemed to have it down pat. I am not seeing much from Booker. Embiid has been a disaster. I would play JT over both.

Kerr: 'I felt like an idiot' not playing Tatum vs. Serbia Steve Kerr reacts to Team USA's win vs. Serbia on Sunday and explains why he didn't play Jayson Tatum.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'm sorry but this is a weak take.  Tatum  lead the team in the biggest statistical categories the entire playoffs, played great D and you are saying he's played average because his shooting percentage wasn't 50%?  Your post was average.  How about we leave it at that.  I'm super ticked he didn't play today.  Kerr is an embarrassment for a team USA head coach.  You say you can't play everyone in 40 minutes but in a 26 pt blow out you single out 2 players?  F off Kerr.

He also averaged 47% from the field and just under 38% from 3pt on the season. Yep, his jump shot is definitely broken.
