Every game in the finals is just its own identity.

Celtics will be much better Monday. They have been embarrassed tonight. They played like dog crap. No excuses. But the series is not lost.

Oh for sure.

I mean. I expected the Celtics to win this sereis 4-1.  I figured a team as good as the Mavs probably won't get swept - I assumed they would loose at least one game, and I take no issue with that.

But I do take issue with the nature of that loss.  The commentators are praising Dallas, but this game has nothing to do with Dallas - the Celtics are playing like they just expected the Mavs to roll over and hand them the game. They look like they are shocked that the Mavs actually played with some fight and didnt know how to react.  Aside from Tatum who has actually been pretty aggressive, everyone else has just played lazy and completely effortless.

The Celtics energy level is so low that that (athletically speaking) they are making Luka look liek Giannis.

Eh, I disagree. Give Dallas their props. They come out and took this game. We were playing hard and everything to start, but we were just missing shots and stymied by them actually deciding to play perimeter defense.

I think this is all about the desperate team outplaying us tonight all based on their desperation energy, intensity, and focus. But it's not a sustainable thing for them to do.

I give Dallas more credit than I blame the C?s. They have seemed to finally realize they can?t just let the J?s be comfortable. Need to make shots and ease them up again.

Yeah no surprise here that no one is giving Dallas credit.
They played phenomenal. Best performance by either team in the entire finals, they took it to us

This is who this group is. They do things the hard way. Too much comfort after game 3. They were praised. They thought Dallas would quit.

They got punched in the face. Embarrassment often is easy to respond to.

Cs have answered the bell every time. The blow out to the Heat. The blow out to the Cavs.

They have to respond one more time. It all starts with effort. Celtics were DOA from the jump.

Yeah I think Luka's winning Finals MVP whether Dallas wins the series or not lol

Without a doubt the best player on both teams.

Pritchard had been especially bad tonight. Save for that buzzer beater 3 - which was a huge shot- he has sucked in this series.
Hes been terrible. Can't hit any of his wide open looks and for a guy who's usually kind of scrappy on defense and rebounding he's been getting abused out there
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

One factor to consider is that KP gets 2 more days of rest. Hopefully he should be serviceable by Monday.

LOL- Yeah, 1-3 and plays no defense. Wish we could trade places and be down 1-3 with best player. 🤣

Anyone that thinks Dallas can replicate this three more times is crazy.

This was their season.

They don't need to replicate this. Just play a bit better than they did in games 2 and 3 and they can complete the comeback.

In the last five quarters how much have we been outscored? Has Dallas figured this out?

They figured out how to attack us in the paint and outrebound us. I expect that to continue in Game 5.

You always think we're going to lose everything, every time.  It gets old.  You're wrong.

Celtics in 5.

Yeah, you'd think after some point of consistently being proven wrong in their extreme pessimism that they'd change their ways, but nope! Just like we were destined to lose both game 3's in Miami and Cleveland.

122 - 84 may actually flatter the Celtics

If we had been told the Cs would win this series 4-1 when it started...all of us would have taken it in a minute.

They are right there. They are heading home. They have closed out 2 teams in game 5 at home in a large fashion.

Tonight was Dallas season. They were killed in the media. They did what they had to do. Now it is Boston's turn to respond.

Three game series and Boston needs one win. Dallas needs all 3.

Enjoy it Dallas. Your time is coming Monday.

If we do close out on game 5, i think JT can sneakily eke out JB as finals MVP?

Who cares?
And no I don?t give Tatum any credit or edge over anybody for putting up 15 points in a 30 point finals loss.

I absollutely give him credit - because unlike JB and the rest of the starters he at least looked like he cares about winning the game.  Nobody else does.
Nah, Tatum folded mentally early, like 1st quarter early.  Getting frustrated by the refs, not getting back on D. He might have been the 1st to quit tonight, followed by Jaylen, followed by everybody else.
Yeah I just can?t with the Tatum-centric Celtics fans.

He was abysmal tonight. Bricking step back 3s, bricking layups and complaining way too much and mentally folded almost immediately.
Brown clearly had a bad game too but I?m not giving Tatum a bump up in the mvp ranking over this. That?s insane.

Everyone was abysmal tonight. Flush it and move on.

I agree. Exactly why it?s insane to move around finals mvp rankings based on anything from that garbage. Tatum hasn?t shot well or been efficient offensively a single game In these finals including tonight

I don't care one bit who wins the MVP. Give it to the ball boy. Just get the title won Monday.

Agreed. It?s an asinine conversation and I?d prefer they did give it to the ball boy.
