Boston is now favored by 1.5 points. I don?t know what changed overnight (we were 1 point underdogs yesterday) but I really hope we take care of business and get game 4. Let?s make history as the first team ever to sweep the conference finals and the finals!

Nice article about Tatum

https://sports.yahoo.com/tatums-strength-lukas-weakness-deciding-162516187.html

This paragraph is great:

Jayson Tatum's critics have one peculiar hang-up: They're angry he isn't someone else.

Why isn't he as passionate as Jaylen Brown? Why isn't he as fiery as Anthony Edwards? Why isn't he as ruthless as Kobe Bryant?

But if the NBA Finals have proven anything, it's that maybe we should start celebrating Tatum for who he is: a chill, no-drama superstar in the mold of Tim Duncan, Joe Montana, and Derek Jeter who has the Celtics on the verge of Banner 18.

Let's do this!! Hopefully KP gets to play some to spell Big Al. Huge close-out game for JT. Let's close out this business trip.

Maybe last game got the bugs out of JT's shot.  This is a JT and JB close out game, 35 for each!  Shared MVP trophy!

Let them end this tonight

For the most part this group as been pretty good when completing close out games recently...

Swept the Nets
Took care of the Cavs and Heat
Swept Indy

Only one I can think of recently that they did not was Atlanta in game 5.

Mavs also 0-3 at home in these playoffs in game 4.

Last 2 NBA finals have ended on the road (warriors and Nuggets).

This will be the final test for this group. Can they end the Mavs in their first chance on the road?

With one less day of rest, conventional thinking would say Celtics are at a disadvantage due to lack of rest for KP and Horford. However, I think this plays to Celtics advantage. The team can taste the championship which is a greater motivation than just staying alive (the Mavs motivation).

This feels a little like the Nets series where the Cs swept.

Same Kyrie
I think KD was a better all around player than Luka
Nets and Mavs had about the same kind of role players

Yes the stage is bigger but the core plus Jrue is older and more experienced.

Gary Washburn said that the Mav players at the interviews yesterday looked like they were finished. Poor body language. Felt like they knew Boston was the better team. Talked about this being a learning experience.
