Looks like I?m 4-5 years there?s going be 2 expansion teams coming, my guess it?s Seattle & Las Vegas..so if this happens, which 2 teams are heading to the East?? New Orleans & Memphis are the 2 logic ones
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Yeah.  Memphis seems definite.  If it's not the Pelicans, perhaps the Twolves, since they're closer to the Midwest teams than anybody in the West.

Or just one goes to the East: either Memphis or New Orleans, makes it 16 even on both sides

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Happy to see Seattle getting a team again.

Vegas I don't really care about. Rather see a good sports city like Pittsburgh get a team.

Great guess, same as mine, Vegas and Seattle, although there may be some push from other cities and I thought I read they may look at Canada.

Funny, it may mean another arena in Vegas, meaning, Vegas will have the Golden Knights, Aces, Raders, soon to be A's, and then an NBA team.  That's a lot of money to throw toward teams, but when you print money like Vegas does, I guess you can.

As for Seattle, the NBA should not have allowed OKC out of that city, so I hope they get a team!

I think NOP or Memphis get moved into the Eastern Conference, I can't see Minny!

They will probably do 4 team divisions

East
1 - Boston, NY,  BKN, Philly
2 - Cleveland, Toronto, Detroit, Wash
3 - Miami, Orlando, Char, Atl
4 - CHI, Ind, MIL, Minny

West
5 - Memphis, NO, Houston, San An
6 - OKC, Dallas, Denver, Utah
7 - Vegas, Pho, LA, LA
8 - GS, Sac, Sea, Portland

Schedule
Other Conf - 2 games - 32 total
Other Divisions - 3 games - 36 total
Division - 4 games -12 total

80 game schedule

Those divisions make most sense to me, though they could put NO and Memphis with Denver and Utah and keep the Texas and Oklahoma teams together.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

You'd have to change that schedule around to include the in-season tournament

Well, not if they added a few games instead of removing games, but that would be awful
I'm bitter.

This would be terrible. The talent in the NBA is diluted enough.

Agreed. Too much greed (expansion money for present team owners). Not enough focus on the quality of the sport (dilution of talent).

I agree as well, though I admit that I'd like to see Seattle have a team again (though that could be through relocation; doesn't have to be expansion).

I hope they get rid of divisions.  Personally, I'd rather see a 62-game season where you play everyone twice so there's no need for conferences.  But I know that's not happening.

I don't think they'd do away with conferences, but they might for divisions (limiting travel, especially in playoffs is still a goal).

3 games against conference - 45 games

2 games against other conference - 32 games

So that would be 77 games.  That might work out ok, but I think the 80 game I proposed makes a bit more sense.
