Mavericks (0-1) at Celtics (1-0) NBA Finals Game #2 6/9/24

To me this is the most important game in the series.  A lot of people are expecting a Celtics game 2 letdown and handing this game to Dallas since they've won all of their Game 2's on the road.  Defense is the key to winning it this year.  The C's will score 105+ even on poor shooting nights.  Outside of Q1 in game 1 the C's were rusty.  If the C's play the same D they did in game 1 then I predict a 112 to 104 win for the green team with better shooting for the C's and for Kyrie.  Luka will get his as usual.

yeah I think its fair to be skeptical given our struggles in game 2's and dallas doing well. we did win last series game 2. and this is a different beast with it being the finals/luka and kyrie across from them.

tough to say. but as long as we play with the same intensity defensively/pass the ball around to the open shooter I think we will be okay. I don't think dallas has an answer for us on defense.

stop doubling tatum? okay get ready for him to cook. keep doubling tatum? well theres plenty of guys who can get open.

I'm curious to see if Dallas changes their gameplan. Meaning, do they continue to swarm Tatum and force him to pass and make others beat them? Or do they decide to maybe let JT actually get his, but attempt to neutralize the others? Funny enough I think they might be better off trying the latter. Maybe they hope JT jacks up a ton of shots and takes away some momentum for the others.

if we go up 2-0 headed back to dallas that is a lot of pressure on dallas. dallas knows they would need to win both at home to just stay even in the series knowing we have HCA. this is not like old days where if you went down 2-0 on road headed home there was a good shot you won both at home and even up series. back when most teams played better at home.

the celtics are not that type of team tho that flops on the road. we play better on the road. dallas knows that they cannot count on winning 2 at home.

C's have to find any way to win tonight. whatever it takes to get dallas in a stranglehold headed back to Big D. i have no doubt we get a W at dallas.

tonight is basically a MUST win for dallas therefore we need to win this.
