If Tillman is guarding either Luka or Kyrie… Boston, we have a problem. 

I like Tillman on Donic. He has the size and strength to hang with Donic. He's an offensive liability but I think he can give you some minutes guarding Luka. I doubt that Joe does it but I would if I was coaching. Tillman in a small ball line up lets us switch everything. That would mean no drop coverage. I can't see Joe being bold enough to go that way.

The one thing I personally believe ,  in that I’m not a Jason Kidd fan boy and don’t see him as a coaching genius. I just don’t feel  Mavs have any coaching advantage over Boston.  Never ever been impressed with Kidd the coach , like I was Kidd the player.

It's not even close when you compare the supporting casts. 4 of our other guys are all-star caliber two way players. Dallas' other guys are an average NBA bench.

Feels like it's not just media but all of social media is talking like that.

Not seeing Boston play + hearing how they're going to lose is taxing.

People say Boston haven't faced a team like Dallas this postseason, but I'd argue the other way around. Boston is full of shooters, and Dallas' defense will also be tested.

PJ Washington typically gets TORCHED by Tatum whether he's on Charlotte or even Dallas this season. And if not him, who is guarding Tatum? I also think Holiday could bully the Mavs' guards and post-up or attack the basket without much resistance. I like DJJ and Dallas' frontcourt, but if Boston is moving the ball around and taking open 3s, it won't matter much either. Porzingis is also easily the best frontcourt player between both teams assuming he returns.

One more thing. In the last series, did we think Dallas had some strategy for Ant, or did Ant just not have a good series himself? If it's the latter (and I feel the same btw), then as long as JT/JB don't vomit over themselves, Dallas will get overwhelmed. I thought MIN and Ant in particular choked hard.

I think the legs got to Antman. He just never recovered from the game 7 in Denver (where he also didn’t play great). Just ran out of gas

On that note, I think JT has actually done a remarkable job preserving himself for the Finals. Our boys also ran out of gas by the time they got to the finals 2 years ago (and they acknowledged they were tired). Now, JB has been going full throttle (props to his conditioning) but I think JT has been going at 80% for a large majority of the games except for a few stretches (and still he averaged 30/10/6).

Might be a jinx but honestly, I expect JT to play with more fire than we’ve seen in a while. I expect he’ll get a lot of FTs in game 1
