My sincere hope if we win the tittle this year is that we don’t have similar stories following this team in the years to come.  It doesn’t seem like we will — the Js seem to always say good things about their teammates who have left — but it’s definitely left a little sour taste over the years from the 2008 team with Ray having been socially banished.

Do you think OKC fans have any hard feelings about the way KD left?

Ray Allen was by far one of my favorite players, and I dare say my favorite non-Celtic player before he came to us. And while he was with us, I'd say he was also my favorite player.

After he left us, he showed his true colors in many regards and I lost a lot of respect for him.

I had a Ray official game shirt that I had to sell on eBay after he left for the Heat. It was his decision and it's my decision to hold a grudge.

Ray shopping for houses in Miami on off days of the playoffs when Boston played Miami pretty much tells you all you need to know.

Him and Perk can kick rocks.

In a candid revelation on the Stephen A. Smith show, Kevin Garnett provided insights into the intense rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat during the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals. Garnett openly discussed Ray Allen's controversial move to the Miami Heat, a decision that initially fueled animosity and tension within the Celtics team.

"We was in a real-life gang-banging league... When we was knee-deep in the battler with Miami, that was real, none of that was fake ever."

"We down in the playoff series with these guys, bro was down here looking at cribs... You already knew that was on the table, the option to come down here."

The revelation about Ray Allen exploring houses in Miami during the playoff series added a layer of complexity to the situation, suggesting that Allen was contemplating a move even before the conclusion of their postseason battles.

Not sure what this thread title has to do with the link.

Also, not sure how KG would know what Ray was doing in Miami and when he was doing it.

Meh, the Celtics tried to trade him (which they're entitled to do, it's a business).  He can go house shopping on his day off.  I've never seen anyone question his effort in the game.  He made a decision that he thought was best for him. The fact that he took a pay cut and came off the bench only tells me that he put winning first. We embrace that as Celtics fans.

Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It's wild to me that fans hate Ray, but largely remember Rondo fondly.  The same Rondo who feuded with coaches and teammates, went AWOL on the team, stopped playing defense, and later went on to be involved in several violent and/or gun-related incidents.

I think those on Team Rondo are largely on Team KG.  Rondo is on Team KG, while Ray is not, so people are on Team Rondo by extension.

I see no reason to hold a grudge against a guy that helped us win a ring.

He’s not Reverend Allen or Pastor Allen. He’s Ray Allen, just another guy that makes good and bad decisions. The only difference is his shot is pure silk.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

All that disappeared from my mind till I read this .

If DA thought he could work a deal swap out Rondo for Steph or CP3 ,  I can understand that .  I would have tried
