I hope that 2nd quarter was Indy’s best. Need to come out in the 3rd just like the 1st.

Indy’s best will be when they’re at home games 3 and 4…we should be more concerned about whether or not quarter 1 was our best

I’d like to see Q get a chance as well.

The one thing that is apparent is this is a bad matchup for Kornet. I would give Bassett a shot.

Why are Celtics bodies flying around? Why are they so soft. We needa play bully ball man.
It’s not even bully ball offensively for me it’s more defensively. What’d we have like 2 fouls or 3? That tells you all you need to know we aren’t physical defensively. Minnesota compared to Boston is night and day we’re so soft.

We gave that scrub Turner 18 points and 4 assists in the half, almost all of which came off poor Kornet defense.

I don't understand how Joe can just consistently make the wrong rotation decision with Kornet. They're a terrible rebounding team, and they're going to beat us from the perimeter, not inside. Go small when Al is not in the game. That is the obvious choice with no X available, man, not that you'd play him anyways. It isn't rocket science.

Pacers playing ten guys!

i was hoping to see good in game adjustments from Joe today.  Not the case.  we might need to go deeper in the bench to give them a different look on def.  everything too easy for the Pacers

Teams are going to be increasingly willing to leave Al open if he doesn't make them pay from 3.  Just 1-7 in that half.

lack of fast in game adjustments is gonna cost us

There are not many adjustments to be made. Our defenders are closing out of control. It’s a simple up fakeand then Indiana gets a wide open 3. This has nothing to do with Joe.

Joe should go small when Al is out or give Queta some run.
Joe is just too smooth-brained for that

Now that is funny (and true).

Pacers are hard to guard, man.  If they're going to hit everything like this then we're in for a dogfight of a series.  I've also seen the faucet just turn off for that team, hopefully that happens a few times.  But they were one of the best offenses in the NBA for a reason.

Good thing is that we're also getting almost anything we want at the other end.  I think our offense is more sustainable than theirs but I've been burned for thinking that before.

Huh. Tie game at half. Strange.

Boston have completely outclassed Indiana. It is clear these are two teams on completely different levels to one another. Indy cannot hang with the Celtics. Yet, it is tied.

Gave up a lot to M Turner. Particularly with Kornet. Stop that in the 2nd half and they'll win by double digits.

You're giving the Celtics too much credit. Indy is killing us everywhere. Toppin, Nembhard, even Nesmith having fun out there. C's reverted to ISO ball and sloppy passes and just boneheaded plays.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
We have players on the bench that play with an edge - Oshae, Svi, even Queta. I realize Joe is not comfortable with those guys, but we can't keep hemorrhaging points out there with our regular season only minutes eaters.

Horrible energy in the first half. Somebody wake these guys up and tell them that it's the conference finals.
