Not feeling great, this feels like Game 1 against PHI last year's 2nd round. Cavs could steal this

Not a good last half of quarter.

Gave Cleveland life and confidence.

Going to be a long second half

Celtics should be playing faster

The last handful of possessions for us were poor. Stopped trusting each other and went iso trying to do everything ourselves.

The silver lining i guess is that we’re up by 10 despite playing poorly. Third quarter is gonna be crucial.

Cavs in prime position to steal this game. Cavs putrid in this quarter and only down 10.

Celtics giving away too many offensive possessions

Other way to look at is we are abysmal from 3 and yet up 10. We hit our normal percentage next half can run away with it

We won both orders. I think things look pretty good. The game is not in the bag of Cours but it seems we are in good shape. Certainly shouldn’t be worried.

What’s the excuse on that JT play? He was 1 on 1 with max struss and couldn’t score and then committed 2 dumb fouls

Uh, he was doing EXACTLY what you have been calling for him to do - forcing a bad possession that wasn't there instead of taking what the offense gives him and the team.

Tatum please go to the rim

The 3s aren’t going

He's so good at getting to / finishing around the basket - I really have on idea why he so often takes contested long jumpers early on.

He should attack early, for the defence to sag off and respect his driving ability - that will then give him more space so he can get easier perimeter shots.  Instead he forces a contested ISO three when you have three other capable scorers on the court.

The whole reason I was so excited about adding Jrue and Porzingis was the idea that with all this extra scoring on the court Tatum and Brown would no longer need to force these low percentage ISO shots.

Tatum is such an unbelievably skilled scorer - if he was more disciplined with his shot selection he could be a top 3 player in this league and a perennial MVP candidate.
That says it all.

The difference between White and Tatum on offense: White doesn't do fancy stuff like step back 3s, side step 3s, Euro steps.
More mundande moves, yet more efficient. He is not for the highlight reels.

We are fine / ok....10 point lead, we won both quarters.   We just played worse in the 2nd on offense.   Need to move the ball more on offense.   Make them guard us by moving the bodies.  We make it so easy on defenses when JT just backs down and goes ISO for a whole possession.  That should be taken out of the playbook.  Get guys moving without the ball, set good multiple screens for JT / JB and get them the ball when they are moving.  You do that no one on this Cavs team can guard them.

Guys, what is all the doom and gloom about? We're up 10 at the half despite Tatum not shooting well and us only shooting 27% from three with a mere 6 three pointers made.

We're in great position.
