We should use Brissett in the ECF, for his tough rebounding if nothing else....Knicks will clobber us on the boards and he would love to play against his former team in Indiana.

Fresh body too....he could be used against that annoying Josh Hart.

Good idea. We need bangers and big bodies to clog the paint , we got others to score,

Save PK and Kornet for Jokic

Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis is expected to remain sidelined for Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference finals next week, but there's optimism he'll be able to return sometime in the series -- barring any setbacks, sources told ESPN on Friday.

Porzingis has been making progress in his recovery from a soleus strain of his right calf, ramping up his on-court activity for an anticipated return in the conference finals, but still needs more time for a return to play, sources said.

Get up 2-0 and then get him back. That is the way

That's good news. I always felt mid-ECF was the realistic timeline and Game 3 is next Saturday, Game 4 Monday and Game 5 Wednesday. Makes sense to target around that week.

But I also think how we start the series will factor in. Like if we go up 2-0 or dare I say, 3-0, they could simply decide to shelve KP until the Finals. No need to truly rush him back. Now if we're down 2-1/3-1 or even tied 2-2, we might want to bring him back.

Yeah, that's all grand. No rush for his return.

Neither NY or Indy are a threat to beat BOS in the ECF. They don't Porzingis for this series.

Just take your time and heal big fella.

A not very surprising injury update. Given what he's doing on court which from what we've see is some light shooting and non contact drills him being back for Tuesday seemed pretty unlikely. A timeline of 4ish weeks (which would be about gm4) matches pretty closely with a grade 2 strain, so makes sense.

Its nice to hear that they expect him back in the ECF's, that relives some worry that maybe it's more serious than they were letting on.

If we can't beat NY (who have Randle, OG, Robinson, Bogdanovic, and now maybe Hart) or Indiana without KP we don't deserve to advance. Simple as that.

Exactly what I think. Either we have it or not. If we can't overcome those two remaining teams with their circumstances, we are just not Finals material. In fact, this year has just been the easiest path to the Finals imaginable. May the best team win.

To win the West, 1986-87 Lakers faced:
Denver 37 RS wins
GS 42 RS wins
Seattle 39 RS wins
and they lost only one game across all 3 series, before Celtics beat them 2 times in the Finals (but C's lost the series).

game 4 in 9 days seems to be the one to circle the calendars imo. we will probably get a better idea if he's doing contact and team drills this week.
