Jrue Holiday being the final piece to two separate NBA champions is legendary stuff.

I'm taking Jrue all day long.  We've seen top ten busts in the past.  Take the commodity and figure it out.

As of now, I would take Holiday every single time.

My opinion hasn't changed, for the record.

Banners fly forever.

Everything feels worth it now. The Derrick White trade, KP, Jrue, etc. Even some of the smaller moves like acquiring Tillman. Tillman did give this team some big minutes in Game 3 of the Finals.

Through most of the season, Holiday did not play any better than Brogdon did last season.  But he came on in the playoffs and probably most importantly, stayed healthy.  Brogdon only played 39 games but was good, not as good as Holiday, but good (41.2% from 3 for example).  Robert Williams played 6 games.

Durability or availability is very important.  That is what made the difference.  It took a lot to get Holiday, but now that we have won a title, with Holiday playing a key role, hard to see much left to debate around this trade.

While we can agree to disagree about Jrue vs. Brogdon in the regular season, I agree that durability and playoff experience are very important.

Also, Brogdon was going to be a malcontent if he'd remained in Boston.  He didn't like Joe, nor did he want to stay after the team tried to trade him.
