  • Let's Go Celtics!
Exclamation point by Tatum!

Great win! Hopefully they'll repeat this same performance on Monday, as I'm taking my kids for their first ever NBA/Celtics game.

Nice! Hope you all enjoy  :)

Did you move to Indiana recently? I thought you were in Cleveland but I could be wrong lol

Ha! I was in Cleveland doing my fellowship from 2017-2019. Then I was in the Atlanta, Georgia area from 2019-2022, and I took a new position in the Indianapolis area in late 2022 to be closer to family. So I've had to deal with a lot of our opposition's fans for the last 7 years haha

you live in indiana?

Yep! Just north of Indianapolis in the Carmel/Westfield area. It's a pretty nice area, though I certainly miss my Georgia winters from the last few years haha

Georgia winters? I'm currently in NJ dealing with our first big snowstorm of the season. I'd kill for a Georgia winter right now lol.

Hopefully Utah hangs on to beat Philly.  Up 15 with about 5 mins left to go.  No Embiid for Philly tonight.

Houston also up on the Bucks by 13 points.  Would be nice to get more breathing room.  I want home court advantage in the playoffs.

Brissett slowly showing he can take that backup big wing role.

Yep. Seems like Joe is starting to build more trust in him, too, which took awhile given how awful his offense was to start the year.

I think we have a pretty elite 10 man unit at this point:

PG: White, PP
SG: Jrue, Hauser
SF: JB, Brissett
PF: JT, Horford
C: KP, Kornet/Queta

I think we'll narrow that down to just PP, Hauser, and Horford off the bench in the playoffs with certain minutes for the other guys based on injuries, matchups, etc.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Oh nice! Congrats!

A few of us were in Atlanta back in October for a few days for a medical conference. Great city, walked around a lot (even around Georgia Tech lol) and stayed in Hyatt Regency which was smack downtown near the Hawks + Falcons stadiums and the big Park. One of those nights we also saw the C's-Heat game in the hotel lol (and the Hawks that same night had their home opener for the season)

It's a pretty big day for Indianapolis sports including the Colts, though they are down to the Texans currently  :P

Lucky. I love winter + the snow especially. We have the same storm but around Boston it's not much snow, maybe 3-5 inches. A little north and west of here though are getting a widespread 8-12+ inches.

Last night I was rewatching Game 4 of 2008 NBA Finals. Tears of joy.

This year's Celtics giving me the 2008 vibes. Absolute domination.

phntom has the right of it. winter is wonderful since it means you have all FOUR seasons. here in minnesota, we finally are having winter, a bit of snow and cold. until a few days ago it was in or near the 40s in temperature.

Yeah, they haven't had many blowout losses (only one I think, 17-point loss to Orlando around Black Friday IIRC), but even when they lose a game or have a bad moment they bounce back quickly. What really showed me it was after choking to Golden State, without Tatum they still blew out SAC, then destroyed the Clippers who were red hot at the time and beat the Lakers on Christmas Day. They seem to be on a mission and everyone is a part of it. No chemistry issues it seem either, plus the players seem to be buying into Mazzulla which wasn't the case last season.

Really just need to pray everyone can stay as fresh and healthy as possible for the spring/early summer

Probably was mentioned earlier but Nesmith (7) and Turner (5) combined for 0-12 from three.

We were fortunate that Indy was cold from 3 this game.  Scal (or maybe it was Drew Carter) mentioned that Nesmith was one of the best 3 point shooters so far this year.  I just looked it up and prior to this game he was shooting 47.6% (!) from 3 so far this year.  We dodged some bullets.

Haliburton also just 2 for 9 from 3.  He shoots 41%, which is remarkable given everything else that he does.

I’m in the 9-12 range tonight. And I am not a fan. Counting the days till spring. But I’ve been out for my walk every day so far this winter. Streak likely broken tomorrow.  Looking forward to 55 and rainy on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Queta seems to have vanished from the rotation. Good minutes tonight from Kornet though.

How many games can Queta even play as a 2way player?

Not odd at all. He tried to take KP’s eye out! Karma.
