KP player of the game.  That switch mismatch where we post KP up in the middle of the floor is gold.  That's going to create all kinds of problems for teams in the playoffs.

KP broke Detroit in the 2nd half.  We'd have been screwed if he didn't have a strong shooting game.

JT given ‘player of the game’.  No. Good stat line other than shooting %, but should be either KP or DW. White had a rough start. Probably give it to KP.

2nd half and OT fun to watch.  1st half sucked.

This was as much a big test for this team as the West coast trip was, and we passed both tests! This is the type of game we consistently lost last season.

A win is a win, but the team should still be embarrassed about that first half.
Indeed the first half was the worst performance I have seen in a while

It seems like D-White doesn’t have bad games.  :D

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Fire Joe ?  ;D

Fire Joe... and as someone said in the "fire Joe" thread, fire the next coach too!

Then get a time machine and go back and fire Doc/fire Brad/fire Ime/fire Joe again.

I'd give it to White. He got us there down the stretch and was on a roll after changing his shoes.

Well, just another example that while the Jays are our best players, both KP and White may challenge them in terms of their overall importance for us winning and playing at our absolute best.

Even though Tatum and Jaylen are our Top-2 players, White + Porzingis IMO are our most important pieces if we want to win it all. Those two bring skillsets that complement the Jays well and they tend to make very smart decisions. They also calm things down well when things go a bit awry
Brad. Credit to him. This is the differnce between now and the past couple of seasons. Hate to say it but also credit to Joe for not screwing this up. It's working and the coaching staff has played a role in that.

Team really impressed in the 2nd half and finally got an OT win. This is how you finish out a tough game.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
This b2b had the potential to be absolutely disastrous to us. Obviously we still want to win tomorrow, but it’ll be a lot more palatable coming off a tough OT win the night before

Survived the mother of all trap games.  Not upset about that.  Still frustrated with Tatum though.
yeah, but 31 points plus 7 rebounds 10 assists and 5 steals ain't bad.
