Overpaid Jaylen. Bum coach. We may have lost the tourney, but still seeing red flags with this team. This was the Pacers team the C's crushed by 50 points a few weeks ago. Lack of intensity and sense of urgency.
.

The pacers didn’t have haliburton in that game my guy.
Who cares if Jaylen is overpaid? He was our best player tonight. This team is depending on jayson Tatum to become an mvp and quite frankly he’s behind haliburton in that category at this point. Not good enough.

Tatum has been bad for weeks now. He's got to snap out of it.

So much for caring about this tournament, lol.  The hell did we rub it in Chicago's noses for?

We're playground bullies.  We'll push around the smaller kid but we shut up real quick when somebody fights back.

C's look pathetic as playground bullies. The same way they got bulled in the ECF last year. Flexed beating the 76ers and as the #2 seed...before getting curbstomped by the Heat.

thirty-six.

not winning anything with such carelessness.

update: 38!

the c’s are so careless with the ball, they turned it over two more times in the final 90 seconds. wow, just wow.

Good. Get this stupid marketing stunt over with.
Give me the rest.

Pacers celebrating like they won the nba title
Stop. Clearly these games mean something. Cs like usual coming up short. This should be a massive red flag for this team tonight.

Oh please. This is just a marketing ploy to get people to watch in December. It’s meaningless.
Clearly based off the competition in all these games it is not. You can keep telling yourself that it doesn’t matter but it does.

It doesn’t. You know guys on contending teams aren’t concerned with a made up December tournament.
Again, that is not what us been shown so far by any of those teams. They are all going all out. Again, you can try lying to yourself but you are clearly wrong.

Sorry but come play off time nobody cares. Heck come next week no one will care. I mean if you lose sleep over it then I’m sorry.

No Haliburton, we shot 57% from 3 with 20-35, pacers shot 5-37 for 13%…make miss league. That’s 45 of our 50 point win right there

Thank you. I don’t know what it is with this guy but he’s so inconsistent throughout games and this is a problem he’s had for years. But thank god he can pad his stats in garbage time.

The pacers are shooting 46% from 3pt.

Hard to win nowadays when the opponent shoots that well from 3. Huge advantage for Indy.

Maybe if we stopped gifting them wide open threes time after time they wouldn't get into a rhythm. It's like we didn't watch any film or gameplan for this team at all. And then no in-game adjustments to boot.

I'm not trying to bash Kornet here.  But I don't understand why Joe keeps subbing him in at inopportune times against opponents.  In this game, we were rebounding well enough to try a more mobile "big".  Even if that's Brisett it's worth a shot.  We needed the defensive mobility since we were getting slaughtered by their 3's the entire game.  Not drop coverages with a slow big.

That's on Joe.  Kornet did some good things in his minutes, but it didn't outweigh his defensive liabilities.  I thought we should have made an adjustment much earlier.

Yep. Despite people pointing at his stat line, he gave up just as much as he helped. And to be honest, Al wasn't much better.

But because Brissett and Stevens aren't big shooters, they just don't get the time. It makes no sense. Not sure how you watch them consistently burn us in the isolation mismatch or the high pick and pop with the bigs too slow to recover and not even consider going smaller to cover that. Or hell, just play small with Hauser instead of Brissett or Stevens if you want to keep the shooting.

Do something. Don't just hope a great three point shooting team is going to miss wide open threes, particularly when neither of the bigs were particularly effective on the other end either.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Well good thing it’s just December. A lot of folks are on the ledge over this. The biggest concern is turnovers. And that is always the issue with the Celtics

Hopefully the Celtics get the bucks Friday night for an extra chance to beat them at home

He was much better when Porzingis was active, but he should be able to do it without Porzingis. He's just been sloppy and bad for weeks.

This is a roster problem. Too many players that don't belong on a NBA roster (or at least the NBA roster of a good team).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

The Celtics lost because they took 41 3s and only made 12.  And that includes Hauser going 5 for 7.  Make 3 or 4 more and this is a win. This will even out in a 7 game series. Celtics have not been good on the road.

The players a thousand percent cared and wanted to win this game to the point they were running up the score against a bulls team that quit just to get to the tournament they then proceeded to choke against a lesser team in a playoff environment. Red flag. Same team. Literally no excuse to lose to this team in a game that mattered to them.

I do think the players tried and cared about the tournament. But I don’t care about it. Sorry they suffered their 5th loss.  But it’s just a loss.

Very loser mentality imo. Every game/tournament matters. You should strive to win everything. Maybe it’s just the American mentality. The rest of the world views tournaments like this much differently. League/league cup/euro league. Everything matters. All of them are important. This tournament will also matter a lot in a decade I reckon as well. The NBA will tweak it every year until it does.
