G Williams and Smart who?

Definitely.  I wasn’t too worried about missing Grant. Would’ve liked to keep him but very replaceable.  Marcus I was both glad to see him go and at the same time concerned about missing his defensive intensity. Jrue is better defensively. And Jrue doesn’t lapse.  And  Jrue’s offensive game is much better.   What a gift to have Jrue  and DWhite in the same backcourt. There’s no let-up in either one.

None of Smart's brain farts.

Great team win.  All 3 of our stars played well.  Held Toronto to just 39% shooting.

3? Do you not consider Jrue a star? He's a two-time All Star and was one as recently as last year, even if he's obviously the fourth star on the team and the one who will likely have the least amount of points.

Glad the starters got a good rest . They all played heavy minutes during the 5-0 run to start the season.

Weird stat in a solid win - 1 steal ?
The Four Celtic Generals:

That's where Brown could make a killing, especially on this team - moving without the ball and getting himself open without having the ball in his hands. Perfect role for him.

Brown is too dumb to do that and Joe is too hung up on 3's to notice.

Porzingis is making me forget all about Smart and G Will. He's been everything I've hoped he would be. Just need to keep the man healthy.

Love jrue but he’s not a star…maybe my standard is higher than most because I consider Tatum as our only true star

Celtics won every quarter. Like the consistency.

Joe needs more bench muscle.

I would say that is true. Porziņģis has been better than Smart and Grant Williams combined. And we got two first round picks in the deal to boot. We could have matched Grant of course and had Grant and Porziņģis both. But I like our team just fine right now.

Yeah I feel the same tbh. And btw, as Roy and others will tell you here I'm someone who has always loved Holiday and felt he was super underrated around the league, even when he was with our rivals Milwaukee.

I do love that he's humble + doesn't have an ego and it a consummate team player. Love Smart but it was pretty obvious he thought he was also part of the "Big 3" with Tatum and Brown which was far from the truth and I don't really miss his "heat checks" or him killing the offense at times with poor, selfish decisions even in critical moments.

Luke with another good rebounding game....9 min and 5 rebs.  Our 3rd string center.

Don't matter if Smart was a DPOY. His 3-ball chucking offense and putrid offense doesn't make up for it. Jrue is the standard when it comes to being balanced both ends. Smart surely watered down last season after winning the DPOY award, as if he was just trying to aim for that and achieved his goal so he stops playing elite D. In short, good riddance Marcus Smart. Love Jrue. Hope he wins one with us.

He's the guy that is going to be sacrificing the most, the guy averaged 20 last season and will probably average 13 this season but I doubt he will be bothered by the drop in his stats. When you've won a championship you know what's important is the team doing well overall. Ray went from 26ppg to 18ppg in 2008 and they won a championship too.
