I was a big fan of Coach Knight, he won with different types of teams, though he wasn't for everyone.
I know I couldn't have played for him, but I loved watching his teams.
God Speed Coach.

I remember him coaching the Olympic team in 1984 and obviously the Indiana national championship though I was a little young to appreciate his impact. RIP.

He was a legend. One of the best to ever do it. RIP Bobby.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Complicated legacy. He was one of the best coaches of all time. Also an abusive jackass at times with no emotional self-control. The first part deserves to be celebrated, but there are fewer instances of the second part in coaching nowadays and I think the world of sports is better for it.
Rest in peace.
