Kornet cannot be on this team. And the Celtics still need a reliable scorer off the bench

Horford only 16 minutes. Practically a rest game.

I don't mind that. Bubble wrap him and KP for the playoffs.

banton with a poleaxing -17 in a 19 point win. and he earned it.

The one positive thing to take away from this quarter...SOMEHOW Svi was a +1 and Stevens was only a -4

Meaning when those two guys were on the floor, the second unit was actually passable.

Can we trade Kornet for some practice balls or extra shower towels

Well, good news is that our top 6 took care of business, and got to take the last quarter off. The challenge for Brad will be filling this bench out, whether that's through a trade or through the buyout market.

Tatum with 33pts in 28mins, Brown had 36pts in 32mins. Wild.

even then the celtics might have to staple a 2nd rounder to him.

We might need to throw in a 2nd rounder to make the trade worthwhile

A traffic cone is more useful than Kornet

This had to be near a record quarter of awful stats.  We shoot maybe 18;% from field , with 24 turnover …it sure felt like it …a HS game

Well, good win anyway.  The bench took a little bit of the shine off but the starters were unstoppable.

I had thought Pritchard was starting to get to his spots as a ball-handler in the preseason.  That would unlock a new level to his game and enable him to be a real third guard on a team.  Nah he still can't beat his man off the dribble.  I think he's mostly fine as an eighth-ish man playing off-ball alongside Jrue or White and at least one of the Jays, but I question whether he'll ever be able to run offense with the ball in his hands.

I'm being patient with Hauser but he's struggling right now too.  Didn't help that tonight was also one of his worst defensive games in a while.  He rebounds at least.

Kornet we already know about, Brissett is nice as long as we never need him to put the ball in the basket, hope we give Stevens more of a look going forward - at least he appears to have something resembling an offensive game, even if a three-point shot isn't part of the bag.  Svi might be more important than I realized, just because he's a good enough offensive player to actually finish off games that the starters rip open.

I'm not worried about scoring off the bench. We have so much scoring in our starting 5, Joe just has to stagger the minutes right. You can always have a scoring/playmaking combo on the floor (JB+Jrue/JT+White/fill in Al and KP where you need them). We need guys off the bench who understand their roles and can be stars in those roles. I don't think we have that yet.
