Jayson Tatum on the hesitancy he expressed about returning:

?Over 39 weeks, you have a lot of time on your hands. You think about a lot of things. Just hyper aware of what's going on. I think it would just stem from that. Obviously, I know what I bring to the table and bring to the team. But I'm also aware that these guys have been playing extremely well. And, not to say that I would come and mess it up or anything like that. It was just kind of being vulnerable I guess for a moment.?

Jayson Tatum on how Jaylen Brown has responded to shouldering more responsibility this season:

?It?s been great. Even before the season, there was no doubt in my mind that he, and P [Payton Pritchard] and D-White and all these guys, I knew what they were capable of. Whenever somebody that loves the game that much, and works as hard as they do, gain more opportunity, I?m not surprised what they?ve been able to accomplish. It?s been really fun to see.?

It's really a testament to Jayson's team first mentality that he's thinking of how his return would impact the team's chemistry. I would suspect a vast majority of other players would just be thinking of what would be most beneficial for them when it came to a return. If they have to disrupt chemistry or displace some other players, so be it as long as they get the reps they need to being the best they can be again.

Wish JB would take a page from that book. Instead we have to hear about how he?s been sacrificing all these years.  :P

Celtics posted some pics on their Instagram page of Tatum scrimmaging with the Maine team. Looks like he was jumping well and taking some contact. I really believe he is coming back this year.

perhaps or he can get a bit of leeway on that since he's been constantly underappreciated here and thrown into ridiculous trade ideas since he was drafted.  Tatum hasn't had to endure any of that and JB has done a terrific job this year stepping up his game and getting this team to a high seed playoff team thanks to his effort and consistency in production especially when others that people assumed could and would step up have not.
