Multiple teams have called the Clippers about Ivica Zubac?s availability, per  @BrettSiegelNBA

The starting price for the center is two first-round picks

There have been ?mixed signals? about Ivica Zubac?s availability, but the starting price for the star center is two first-round picks, per @BrettSiegelNBA.

Boston has Simons who is a guard LA has expressed interest in and multiple picks.

Honestly if Simons + 2 future protected first round picks nets you Zubac, I'd really consider it. I'd prefer to do Simons + 1 FRP + 2 seconds but if it gets to a bit of a bidding war I'd do it. This roster + Tatum AND Zubac in the frontcourt makes us a contender again.

If we can nab him by the deadline without giving up too much, and if Tatum is serious about coming back this same season, I think the C's can go to the Finals this season lol

The Celtics have the Pelicans 26' 2nd that projects to be 31-35, so almost as good as a first rounder. So package that pick, Simons and the Celtics own 26' 1st and that should get you close.

Zubac I think would be a great fit, 2nd team all defense center who is 28 and under team control for 2/40 after this year. Between him and Queta you could get a full 48 minutes of really awesome center play.

Worth noting with tonight's results in the Celtics are now the 6th seed in the East, so out of the play-in.

The Celtics need to do whatever they can to pick Dumars pocket before he is gone.

I wonder what's up with Boucher. I know he didn't look good earlier in the year but it seems like he just doesn't play at all anymore even in garbage time. In fact he's now had 5 DNPs in a row. I still think they should try him again and see if he can offer something. He looked like a solid player in Toronto and I still see potential in him, and certainly more than Tillman/Garza at this point

I?m hoping they package all 3 for a useful player.

I'd drive them all to the airport if we could do that lol

Walsh doesn't like the nick name garbage man, I agree, I don't like it either.  How about Dr. Manhattan from Watchman...short use the Doctor!.  Someone please put a picture of the good doctor on this site...I don't know how to do it.

They're seeing something we aren't, and if I had to take a wild guess it's probably either attitude, unwillingness to buy into the overall game plan (i.e. play defense), or entitlement because he's a vet. Those are usually the reasons players get frozen out.

It's also possible that he's not in their plans long term, he was signed as insurance for injuries, and they want to develop the guys who will be contributing to this team in the future - the young guys. Like Blake Griffin never played, except when people were injured, or it was a specific situation like a SEGABABA, or something like that.

It's understandable as fans that we want to put in the best tool in our toolbox for a specific situation, when they might be trying to expand the number of tools they have.

With regards to Tillman/Garza, if I had to (wild) guess again what they see in those two that they don't in Boucher, it's size - as in weight. Neither are great switchable perimeter defenders, but we already have those in Minott, Walsh and Hugo, but other than Q we don't have big bodies to defend againsts post ups and play drop coverage, and that's probably where those two have value. Kind of leaves Boucher the odd man out.
