The Boston Celtics have signed wings R.J. Luis and Aaron Scott to Exhibit 10 contracts. Both Luis and Scott will be waived on Saturday, then will join the Maine Celtics for the upcoming G League season.

Luis is back, this time in Maine.

Does he want to be an assistant/defensive coach for the Celtics? I think they can use a defensive guru

Terms were not formally announced on Mazzulla's new pact beyond the Celtics terming it a multiyear contract extension, but there is a belief in coaching circles the new deal is a six-year pact, along the lines of the six-year pact that current Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens initially signed to be Boston's coach when he left the college game in July 2013.

Terms were not formally announced on Mazzulla's new pact beyond the Celtics terming it a multiyear contract extension, but there is a belief in coaching circles the new deal is a six-year pact, along the lines of the six-year pact that current Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens initially signed to be Boston's coach when he left the college game in July 2013.

It doesn't count against the second apron so I am not sure it means all that much.  They will fire him along the way whether it is a 2 year, 4 year or 6 year contract and chalk it up to the cost of doing business.

6 years is foolish.  he'll burn out any good will he has within 3 (and in even less time for those who don't think he's all that good)

I guess we'll see over the first weeks of the season whether the hamstring is an ongoing issue or not.  I have to believe that if he plays tomorrow that he and Drs think there is minimal risk of tweaking it.

I would sure hope so.  It is typical for the player to be given a good run in practice and then they decide based on how if feels the next day.  The report says that he had two days of full practice.  That seems pretty positive.  But I can't imagine that they would push it at all.
