Still time to fill the team but to me they were going to always take a hit on talent when losing KP and Holiday. The deciding point was always going to be on Horford and Kornet. It seems at this point it is unlikely they bring either back as I think Horford will go elsewhere. I think their main goal now will be to get below the tax entirely. That will require gutting the roster more. And then this feels like a great year for Brown to rest his knee and do a tank that way. You then come back the following year with Tatum, Brown, White and ideally a solid rookie with potential. Then you try to go for it. It is tough to see how this team is in the playoffs next year and I would prefer a tanking route by still keeping White and Brown. Will be a year to look at the development of some young guys so hopefully there will be some fun there. Least it will be a lot less stressful next year!
I see it as kind of like a summer league team all season (but not exactly):
Solid Starters: Brown, White, Simons
Solid Bench: Pritchard, Hauser
(All guards so far, not likely the starting 5)
Fringe NBA Vet: Tillman, Niang, Garza, Queta
Fringe NBA Young: Walsh, Scheierman, Davison
Rookies/2-way: Gonzalez, Williams, Shulga, Norris
Brown has averaged 67 games per season in his career and this season he is coming off surgery. So expect him to be good for say 60 games? In those 22 games or so he doesn't play, the roster looks really bad. Excluding his rookie season (only 20 games) Simons has only averaged 61.5 games per season. Hauser, Pritchard, and White have pretty durable track records.
My point is that there are going to be a lot of minutes for the Fringe NBA, Rookies, and 2-way players throughout the year. It is not going to be all that much better than a summer league team on some nights. Queta and Garza might be starters (keeping Pritchard and Hauser as bench guys).
