Red said  "Do you know how short a time a year is?" And I think that?s the driving idea for 2025-26.  It will pass quickly and there will be story lines that will make it interesting. Maybe the team plays pretty well and it starts to look like JT will be back for the playoffs.  Maybe the team is awful and we?re rooting for a top pick.  Maybe Hugo shows something hopeful.  Maybe Baylor takes a leap.  Maybe Simons starts to play defense. Maybe Brad makes a big trade at the deadline?  All I know is that the year will pass and most of us have been through far worse times with this team.

The Celtics are expected to keep Sam Hauser this offseason as they continue to make moves to create cap flexibility, according to The Stein Line?s Jake Fischer and The Athletic?s Jay King.

I know there?s been reporting and commentary about him having a market. I haven?t gotten word of that. I would be expecting Sam Hauser stays around as well, Fischer said in a video for Bleacher Report.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

You know it?s funny that there?s a chance this year is our second worst season since 06-07!

We have had it pretty great the last twenty years

when you've got players that likely won't contribute next year like Niang, Tillman, Davison and Peterson, you want to keep the ones that will like Hauser.

I know we don?t like Niang because he?s a dirty player, and that is fine, but if he is on the team he will contribute.  He is a career 40% shooter from three who has averaged over 1500 minutes a season the last 5 years for playoff teams, until his final half-season on the Hawks after a trade.  He isn?t great, but he is definitely capable of being in the rotation on a winning team.

Finished watching Celtics City tonight.  I left the series inspired. We may not have a championship roster heading into 25-26, but Brad Stevens knows that there is still a championship foundation. He?s going to have to do what he did a few years ago when worked his magic to put Derrick White, KP, and Jrue on the court with Jayson and Jaylen. I believe he will do it again.

According to a league source the Celtics are picking up JD Davison?s option for next season but it will be non-guaranteed, preserving some flexibility for both sides.

If Davison has to play real minutes, we are sunk. He is nothing more than a G Leaguer. Would love to see them cut ties with him once and for all.

How does a player win G-league MVP while being unable to contribute at the NBA level ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

They run the whole offense through him in the G-league. No team is going to give him that much leeway in the NBA, and he hasn't figured out how to contribute in the margins.

So the Spurs may offer Kornet the full MLE at 14M

If so then good for him. But that is too much IMO

Could we make a run at Lopez for the vet minimum?

Sure we could. Not clear why he?d want to come to Boston for the minimum though if Luke is pulling in the full MLE.

?Now the Spurs, league sources say, are looming as a prominent landing spot for big men on the free agent market as well.

Spurs could use the MLE on Kornet and the BAE on Yabusele to add much needed frontcourt depth behind Wemby??

Heard Portland is gonna buyout DeAndre Ayton, who will soon be entering as a free agent. Can we get him?

He?s a Klutch Sports client who has only lived on the west coast since he moved to the USA as a kid.

Seems highly likely he?ll go to the Lakers (or at least stay out West)
