wow, milwaukee's schedule is brutal coming up.

in the next 8 games they play the clippers, sacramento, Phoenix, boston, OKC and the lakers. the 76ers without embiid are in there...but they can be 50-50

At NO won't be easy either.
Bucks still have:

OKC x2
Boston x2
Orlando x2
Knicks...all in addition to the teams you named.

KOC might want to roll back his Bucks hot take from last week.

Rudy Gobert's money sign at Scott Foster makes national news with the headlines suggesting gambling is impacting NBA officials:

What was the hot take? When the media was whining “Milwaukee is back!” After beating the hornets twice and 76ers I kind of knew it was fools gold.

But that’s how media narratives work. Change by the week

Lakers look dangerously good post ASB folks. This is without LeBron playing while Giannis and Dame were suited up.

Missed this post when they got blown out by the Kings at home...

Fakers have a 5-4 record post ASB, one win of which was an OT victory vs the Wizards.

They are however 16-9 in their last 25 which directly correlates to Deangelo Russell getting mostly back to his all star level of play.  Him and Reaves have played much better the last 2 months or so.  That has what made them play much better since they were 19-21 in mid-January.

They do have one of the strangest schedules I've ever seen with months where they are barely at home or barely on the road.  Very strange all season long, which has also led to some of their good vs. bad times.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Imagine if the Celtics went 5-4 and we were saying they looked dangerously good.

Now they do get a big break tomorrow playing Minnesota missing KAT. I do think they can win that at home if Lebron and Davis both play.

It’s because there are posters here who regularly give other teams benefit of doubt and give Cs no such leeway.

It's odd. Reading this thread you would think the Bucks, Lakers and a few other teams are just miles ahead of the Celtics.

I mean the Lakers didn't have Lebron and yet the healthy Bucks lost to them and allowed D'Lo to put up 44. So should the Bucks be scrutinized or is it only when the Celtics lose to an undermanned team?

ESPN Sources: Indiana Pacers G Bennedict Mathurin will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Mathurin — the 2024 Rising Stars MVP — averages 14.5 points. He’s expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Huge loss for Indiana. Sort of a double loss since he was the reason they were willing to part with Buddy Hield. There wasn't really enough room for both of them. Too similar. Both out and out two guards. Both scorers. Neither has strong or even good non-scoring game (defense, rebounding, handles, passing). So Indy just took a major hit on their firepower with both of these guys gone.

I always view Mathurin as their x-factor. He is not consistent yet and his lack of an all-round game limits his playing time but he is such a natural scorer. So gifted. Wonderful one-on-one guy. Can beat his man and get to the bucket. Finishes well. Draws fouls. Shoots the jumper off the dribble. One of the bright young stars / up and comers in the league today. When he is going well, Indy is very tough to beat.

Mathurin is that extra cog they need to be an above average team. Haliburton, Siakam, M Turner and Mathurin. When they are going well, they are a 50 win type ball club. Of course "going well" for an inconsistent player like Mathurin means it is more like 50-50 whether you get that Indy or you get the 45 win caliber Indy team.

Big blow for their postseason hopes. I expect they will be one and done now.

Something lost in all the hype from Sparzwizard on the lakers going 5-4 is that there are some teams that are actually playing really well right now. Magic have quietly won 8 out of 10 games and the Bulls have won 5 out of 7 with wins over the warriors, pelicans and kings on the road, and bucks, cavs. Currently up 9 on clips on road also.
