That Bucks D was terrible last year. They will be even worse now. They are in serious trouble.

As a fan of the NBA, I love it.

As a fan of the Celtics, ugh.  That's going to be a tough out.  Would have been less concerned if Lillard ended up in Miami.

As a conspiracy theorist, this is better for Miami in the long run.  In 2 years Lillard will have fallen off the cliff (or be too injured to get them a title), causing Giannis to hit free agency and go to Miami.

I would think a guy like Giannis might be more attracted to the Celtics than Miami.

Would White and picks be enough for Jrue?  Would you do that trade? (Brogdon not enough)

It’ll be interesting to see how Giannis and Lillard coexist. Giannis obviously needs the ball in his hands to be most effective, and while Lillard can theoretically play off the ball, he’s largely had the ball in his hands in Portland most of his career. Will be a big adjustment for him.

Defensively, I think they’re significantly worse, and it really hurts their D given that now they can’t stop the point of attack and will suck them in even more, leaving them even more vulnerable to the three.

I'm trying to figure out the Bucks depth chart:

PG -- Lillard, ???
SG -- Connaughton, Beasley
SF -- Middleton, Crowder
PF -- Giannis, Portis
C -- Lopez, Portis

So at guard you have Lillard, and then...I consider Connaughton a pretty nice backup and Beasley a fringe NBA player. So it's basically just Dame. Connaughton is okay. No depth at all.

Middleton was a shell of himself but he's still a good player. Crowder...is somewhat done at the small forward position? I regard him similar to Beasley. So just Middleton.

Giannis, Lopez, Portis is the best big man rotation in the game and is top notch in all combinations.

It's just very, very top-heavy. If Middleton doesn't bounce back, then they have atrocious wing depth and either way will require Dame to play 40+ minutes a game in the playoffs because there's no backup for him. Am I missing someone? All-in moves can work...it can just cut against you too. Is Dame going to hold up getting switched onto Brown and Tatum or Herro and Butler all game?
Beasley is not only not a fringe NBA player, but he is easily better than Connaughton

#Sources — Celtics, Bulls, 76ers have shown early interest in acquiring newest Blazer, Jrue Holiday. Portland is looking to move Holiday immediately. #NBA

While I’d love him on the C’s, it’d require both Brogdon and one of Horford or Timelord, I think, which isn’t worth it to me.

I think Brogdon + Timelord would be worth it personally, mainly due to injury worries. It leaves us shallow at the 5, no doubt, but I think plundering the FA depths would be okay. The below team would be unreal

Jrue / Pritchard
White / Hauser
Brown / Stevens
Tatum / Brissett
Porzingis / Horford

If I'm the Sixers, I'm all over some sort of Harden/Holiday deal.  They are a spot-on salary match.  Maxey/Holiday would be a good pairing and Holiday would give them another wing defender which they need against us.

Would definitely make a lot of sense for Philly, but no way that Portland does that with Harden being unhappy. They’d have to work out a three team deal to make it work, perhaps with LAC.

That's what I was thinking.  The Clips do have flexible salary matches.
