I mean, if you want to, just start a thread about why you think Porzingis is better than Brown. I am sure many will disagree, but you will at least be able to make the argument upfront rather than trying to get a reaction.

So, yeah, I would switch Brown and Porzingis. And also Brissett and Walsh. Also, whoever plays more games between Brogdon/TL will get the win for me at 5.

Brissett has played 172 NBA games, starting 42, a total of over 3,300 minutes.  In that time he has averaged 7.4 pts, 4.2 rebs and 34% from 3.  To me, that puts him in the mix with Pritchard and Hauser for the 8-10 slots.  Walsh is a second round pick that looked decent in the summer league.  I am not sure how you are going to determine this ranking but if you go by minutes played, I predict that Brissett and Kornet will play much more than Walsh, Svi will probably play some more, and Walsh and Banton will mostly play garbage time.

As to Porzingis over Brown, not sure if this is based on you thinking more of Porzingis than most or less of Brown but I think if Porzingis outplays Brown, that will be a very good thing for the team.  I don't expect it, if Porzingis is a solid 3, ahead of White and the rest,  I will be very happy with that.

Brown is good top 25 player in the leauge. What this team needs is a Quality big that can score. Horford and Rob just cant get buckets in the Playoffs and that really really hurts the team.

For me Kristaps will be the second most imoortant player come winning time. We just need his skillset so bad. Cant wait til we see this in action.

Jaylen prove me wrong. Heck I hope hes the #1 player on the team. The potential is there.

Hate to say I told you so Potter, but Zinger is the player we needed. Couldn't believe I was getting Ripped for saying **** is our 2nd best player. Jaylen is simply overrated.

Rank by what? In a vacuum how good they are? Importance to team? Likely minutes played?  So many different ways to do this

I think people will be positively delighted if Porzingis shows to be more important/better than Brown. Brown is a proven All-Star performer on this team already, so that would mean Porzingis would at least reach that level. That would be fantastic.

I think #4 is right for Derrick. His importance is huge this season, though.  I also really think he's going to take it to a new level this season.

Similar to others --- with some differences in the middle ranks. Maybe my main "hot take" is where I have Horford -- he may be "less important" but it's more important that he holds up at this age compared to what he's been the last couple seasons. Because of the injuries in the team and the Hauser <> Svi redundancy (and potentially Walsh), I give more importance to Brissett. If he sucks and our bigs inevitably miss time, we are in a tough spot. We can survive if others in that same band disappoint.

1. JT

2. JB
3. Porzingis

4. White
5. Horford
6. Williams
7. Brogdon

8. Brissett

9. Hauser
10. Pritchard

11. Walsh
12. Banton
13. Kornet
14. Svi

Maybe I'm overthinking it -- but Brissett working out seems really important to me. At each other position we have some more coverage for likely injuries:

Point Guard -- White, Brogdon, Pritchard can all cover. Banton if we really need it.
Shooting Guard -- Brown, White, Brogdon, Pritchard, Hauser, Svi. We have people who have played NBA minutes
Small Forward -- Tatum, Brown, Hauser, Svi, Walsh, Brissett
Bigs (using collective because Porzingis and Horford could do either) -- Williams, Porzingis, Horford, Brissett

Maybe it's because I don't really consider Kornet to be a viable player and Banton + Walsh are only borderline. So at other positions I think if things go sideways, you have some cover from people who have proven they can play NBA minutes at a reasonable level. You can down select the rotation and get to 48 minutes. If Horford ages and you lose Porzingis or Williams for a while, Brissett is playing a big-time role. There's no way around that. Plus he's insurance at the 3.

I'm actually more bullish on him than others are, I think -- but he's going to have to step up even more to get to the level the Celtics are going to need him to play. He's almost certainly going to play almost 20 minutes a game with nobody behind him to cover. Nobody else below the obvious top 7 is in that position.

 Importance to team.
that is the most variance I think because while Brown is clearly better than Porzingis there is definitely an argument that Porzinigis is more important given their positions.  If we lose Brown we still have Tatum, but there really is no one to replace the Zinger
