Yeah, I'm not sure who to root for, either.  I do know that KC annoys me more outside of Andy Reid.

I think almost all of America was rooting for the Lions, even fans of their NFC North rivals.

Lions blew that game no if, and or buts..Reynolds drop 2 passes, one on 4th & 3 that would probably put game out of reach, then Gibbs fumble
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Line opened up at SF -2.5 and its already down to SF -1.

I don't know what to make of this game.  My head tells me Niners but betting against Mahomes is playing with fire.

Lions booking their ticket to the Superbowl. I knew Brock Purdy and the 49ers can't be trusted

Another hot take you nailed Sparzodamus.

Yeah.  There was discussion up-thread about what a "choke" is.  That loss probably qualifies.

The Ravens made a lot of mistakes. Perhaps it was pressure, but I don't think that was a choke.  The Flowers fumble was a great play by Snead.  Lamar clearly made a bad decision throwing into triple coverage and he badly underthrew it, but that might have been a TD if he lofted towards the back of end zone. Also, the refs almost certainly would have called pass interference if it wasn't so badly under thrown (they could have even as they play went - though because it was so under thrown they didn't).

The real issue I had was 6 handoffs to RB's the entire game.  KC's weakest defensive point is stopping the run and you are the best running team in football. Run the [dang] ball.

The 49ers should have lost to the Packers and Lions. The 49ers won both games because the other teams self destructed. I simply don't see the Chiefs self destructing.

I'm definitely rooting for the Niners. I'm tired of the Chiefs, and the Niners (with Montana, Rice, Craig) were my second-favorite team growing up. Plus, I think McCaffrey and Samuel are two of the most exciting players to watch.

Saw someone pull the Harvey Dent quote to describe the Chiefs.

"You either die a hero or you live long enough to become the villain"

Feel like there is definitely some Chief fatigue and backlash at this point.

Kind of crazy that the only times Mahomes lost in the playoffs to an AFC team were to Burrow... and Brady.

Brady is 2-0 against him in the postseason for two different teams and directly won 2 SBs as a result. But besides him, Burrow seems to be the only one that can beat Mahomes in the playoffs. Josh Allen hasn't been able to. Neither have the others. Just sucks Burrow got hurt, otherwise the Bengals may have won the AFC North and they were my original pick to make the SB and face the Niners.

It's an interesting SB matchup in that, one team has a HOF QB while the other has a solid QB that's just loaded with talent around him. Different philosophies and methods of roster building

Mahomes and Kelce are vocal and very cocky which doesn't help.

I'm not rooting against Mahomes until he gives me reason to do so.

I'm not predicting a Kyle Shanahan SB victory until I've seen one.

Mahomes doesn’t bother me.  He’s a truly great QB - maybe the best ever once all is said and done. Maybe not.  But if he continues his current pace for another 12 years or so he’ll deserve to be called the best. I’m not sure why that’s bad.  Great is great.

Taylor Swift is reason enough to have wanted the Chiefs knocked out already. She was even getting talked about during college football games (not involving Kelce's alma mater, by the way). Of course, even if the Chiefs lose this SB, we'll still have to suffer through a hundred pan-overs to her in her luxury box. Good grief.

Part of me wants to root for Mahomes; he's certainly fun to watch. But I'm protective of Brady and his GOAT status, so I'd love for Mahomes to not win another SB (even though a win in this one still leaves four short of Brady, so crowning the GOAT at that point still would seem a bit premature).
