That suggests that Ewers is coming back for another season.  However if Ewers plays great in the playoffs, it might bump him to a first round grade and he could decide to go to the draft.  Which would mean Murphy would have given up the chance to compete with Manning for the starting QB for next season.

A player entering the portal isn't automatically off the team.  Last season ~4% of the players who entered the portal returned to their original school.  Unless the coach pulls his scholarship, the player still has his scholarship until he signs with another school.  So Murphy could still be available for the playoffs.  I wonder if it was Sark's decision or the kid's decision for him to not be available.

That's going to be an interesting court fight unless the parties settle for a ridiculous cash buyout.

Doubt this goes anywhere.  Plenty of teams have wanted to break the Grant of Rights deals but couldn't find a way to do so.  Doubt they could financially but their way out given the huge buyout.  Don't think the SEC or Big 10 have much interest in FSU.  The Big10 has already set the precedent of bringing on new teams as much less than full members financially.

The Big12 as an option is kind of funny.  The ACC is still a P5 caliber conference albeit significantly behind the Big10 and SEC.  The Big12 is going to be little better than a G5 conference.  Without Texas and Oklahoma, none of the Big12 teams carry any weight.  FSU should just stay put in the ACC where they'll have a very good shot of making the playoffs each year.

If FSU leaves, I think the 2 league super football league will be created.

Big Ten
East - PSU, MD, UNC, BC, Virginia, UNC, Clemson, Duke, GA Tech, Notre Dame
Midwest - OSU, MSU, UM, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, Minny, Wisconsin, Iowa
West - Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Oregon, Washington,  Stanford, UCLA, USC, California, Utah

SEC
Southeast - Florida, FSU, Miami, S. Carolina, Georgia, Bama, Auburn, Vanderbilt, NC State, VA Tech
North - Louisville,  Syracuse,  W. Virginia, Pitt, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas St., Arkansas, Tennessee
West - Arizona, ASU, Houston, Texas A&M, Oregon St., Washington St., LSU, Miss, Miss St., Texas

Maybe the SEC breaks up the Florida teams to balance out the divisions (maybe FSU and Miami in North with Tennessee and Pitt in Eadt or something like that).  There are also a few different conference variations for some teams a few options for the last couple of spots, but I think that is a rough outline for a 60 team super league.  Each team essentially plays 9 division games, 2 non division games, and then a 16 team playoff to decide the champ.

And, apparently, the ACC filed a lawsuit yesterday.

The big wins are getting farther apart, but this was a good one.

Also, I learned that the sponsoring Wasabi was a company, rather than a condiment.

I also learned that today.

Castellanos & the BC D played extremely well today.

In a spot start, Miller Moss had a better game for USC than Caleb Williams did all season. Against Louisville, a team that FSU beat in the ACC conference championship.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.
