We got burned when we had the Kings 1RP (it ended up landing number 14), so could we get an amazing pick this time (we are also owed from basketball gods for the 86 draft) with the Warriors either having injuries and/or having the wheels fall off? Or am I just wearing green glasses and dreaming?

I don't think the Warriors fall out of the playoffs.  They probably aren't competing for the 1 seed, but unless Curry goes down for multiple months, I'd expect that pick to be in the late teens or early 20's.

I agree that this is not likely to become a lottery pick but there is a chance.  It wouldn't take all that much in terms of injuries or maybe Draymond punching someone again and GSW could crash and burn.  More likely, it is around 20, still a nice pick to have.

And I also agree that it is an intriguing trade asset.  A first round pick and a $6.2M TPE should be able to get back a decent player.  That type of transaction would put us over the second apron, but I am not sure that is such a big deal.

And Golden State is already such a fun team to hatewatch.  Rooting for the Blazers to tank last year for our 2nd rounder just didn’t have the same oomph.

Definitely a win-win from a rooting standpoint.  I actually have nothing against Curry and Thompson and a few others of the individual players, Draymond Green though, uugghh.  Easy team to root against though and even more so now that we get their pick.

And nice use of the "word" oomph.
