Can't blame Mazzulla for this game. Tatum got hurt and Brown has been putrid

This season overall was not fun, watching these guys no show too many times.

It's never fun when you know the team is underachieving.

I've said it all season long.  Mazzula has failed miserably in getting the most out of the talent on this team.  This roster is probably the most balanced and talented in the league, but you'd never believe it when you actually watch this team play.

TP. Still shouldn't be any reason to keep Joe. Unfortunate that Nurse is now taken off the market.

But it's time to break up the JT, JB, and Smart core, with one of the latter two needing to go. Brown is too limited as a second star to be trusted upon to not have a true point guard alongside them, so one of the two has to go.

Personally, I still think we've got options with a Brown trade this summer, and there are several star-level players that I think we could trade him for.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

All the hyped up fans, 2004 Red Sox, 2008 Celtics, other star athletes who showed up and hyped them at home, and this is the effort they give tonight?

I think Joe is done.  I guess we’ll see.

We couldda been done with Mazzula if we had of gotten swept.

Now we are stuck with him for next year. As if this season wasn't painful for the fan base. Nope, gotta come back and suffer all over again next year!

If Mazzulla is back, I will not watch.

I might agree with that

OH I AM FRICKING DONE WITH THIS TEAM IF JOE RETURNS

means you were never with us....

I agree with the others. I could care less that they came back from a 3-0 deficit to make it 3-3. Never should have been 3-0 to begin with and this was an embarrassing effort in a Game 7 at home. Neither of the previous series should have gone 6+ either.

Just a joke. They better make real changes this off-season. Even if you want to keep the coach, get him some real assistants to help as well.

Should have would have….

Heat shouldn’t even be in the playoffs with this roster let alone beating the Knicks and Bucks who all have better rosters lol

Would've been fine to be swept after all that adversaries they've dealt in Game 3.

Hope the fans at the Garden boo them out.

It was a good season. With Tatum and Brown, our team remains a serious contender year after year. Unfortunately, injuries proved to be our greatest hurdle. Our MLE doing down before the season, our  6th man of the year becoming unable to play due to injury in this series, and our superstar enduring a severe ankle injury right at the beginning of game 7.

Personally, I couldn't be prouder of our team. Let's make the wise decision to re-sign Brown and give it another shot next season.

KEEP WASTING OUR WINDOW WITH DUMB AZZ COACHES AND PLAYERS GENIU S

SHOULD ANEVER BEEN DOWN 3-0 AND AFTER COMING BACK AT KEAST LOSE A CLOSE GAME 7

THIS IS GARBAGE

BLOWN OUT AT HOME GAME 7? AFTER ALL THIS SCREW THAT
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Could have had Nurse this summer to lead this talented core. But a few fool's gold playoff wins are going to give us another year of incompetent Joe and his awful offensive philosophy. Terrible day to be a Celtics fan.
Said it right off the bat -- they should have hired Nurse right away and told Mazzula he can finish the year but he is gone the moment the season is over.

A wasted opportunity to improve the team.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
The worst part is, the Sixers hired Nurse. If we had gotten swept, we most certainly would have at least gotten him to come interview. Just terrible all around.

I’m proud of them too, but I see no reason to keep Brown.
