You can blame him for the coaching hire but it’s not his fault Ime messed up and put them in a bad position close to the season

This was funny to me:  All season, Moranis has been arguing that we could have / should have used the TPE on Duncan Robinson (with attached draft picks).  That's one guy I wanted no part of.

And yet, here we are.  If we'd agreed to that trade, we'd likely be in the Finals right now.

Robinson can get hot and change a game.  He had 4 excellent shooting games this series.  You need guys like that on your bench.  He is overpaid, but he can still play and he doesn't have a crippling contract (because it is under 20 million even though his value is more like 10 million).  I absolutely would have taken him into the TPE if he came with an asset (a first, Jovic, maybe multiple 2nd's).  He'd have also been a nice salary to use in trades during the season or in the off season.  A very nice salary number for trading.

It is just one in the long line of wasted and/or stupid roster decisions made this season.

Brad has done a good job so far, the only major mistake he made is to not replace Joe before playoff starts, but honestly, it would have been such a risky move that can easily back fire, especially if Joe has the support of Tatum.
This offseason is a real test for Brad, let's see how he handles Brown's contract and the next head coach.

Welp, Brad just said Joe is coming back.

This clown is doing more to wreck this franchise than Pitino and ML Carr combined.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Not a shocker.  It's the "let's hire a cheap(ish) neophyte and hope he grows into the job" approach that no serious corporation would take.  It probably works for assistant managers at McDonalds, I guess, but not so much for professional sports.

Maybe after Joe's contract is up, we can hire Jeff Saturday and Matt Patricia to take over.

Also said don't expect any big changes this off season. So more of the same I guess.

Think the biggest thing will be do they keep Brogdan or do they trade him and keep PP instead. Brogdan seems ticketed for surgery so I do not know how lone of a recovery that might be

I certainly hope they look to improve wing play and ditch Kornet forever.

Let me know when Brad lets Jaylen Brown go to help a Lakers dynasty (ala Rick Fox) while paying waaaay overmarket value for someone like Travis Knight.

There’s also this report that the Jays had to meet with Joe in March about their concerns with his benching of GWill. And that’s on top of the clear irritation that the group had regarding Joe’s limited use of Timelord and the big lineup.

Not sure how you keep a coach when there’s this much public and/or reported criticism of his decisions. Doesn’t seem like that’ll lead to a healthy locker room.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

And yet he still DNP'd him multiple times after that.

I was no fan of Brad as coach so I'm including his time as that into my assesment.

Wasting JT's prime while overpaying JB will handicap this team for years to come. We are bringing a guy back who was outcoached in every single playoff series. The same guy who just doubled down on his live by the 3 philosophy. He's learned nothing and neither has brad. Yet here we are going to do the totally sane thing and expect a different result doing the same.action.

Pistons and Philly made hires showing they're serious about their window. I'll give the bucks credit as well for not reacing into the back row. You can't say the same about Boston.

Our window is now. As said 1000 times already, we don't have time for on the job training.

Back to wanting Joe fired.

SuperMaxing JB is really the only choice, but yes it will make the team harder to improve going forward. Almost all the trade scenarios out there are pipe dreams for this year, those that aren't are pennies on the dollar and make this team worse. JB will be more tradeable a year or two into his supermax contract. I'll trust that the guy who as little as a few months ago was being heralded by many as GM of the year for his savy good value trades and signings (Horford, White, Brogdon and Gallo).

Scapegoating Mazulla for the season and firing him might be a better choice, especially if some of the fractured locker room talk holds water. Or maybe the players like him and they will be galvanized to play for him amidst all the firing talk, like games 4-6 in the Heat series or maybe the players just need some continuity. I don't know, I have no inside intel. The guy that does is Brad.

Brad is the guy that led several scrappy underdog teams into the playoffs including more recently being one of the last 4 teams standing 4 years out of 5. That is a far cry from "wrecking the franchise". So, I'll trust in Brad.

CBA is going to make it harder to trade him once he gets his max unless I'm misunderstanding the rules. It's not that brown is awful, it's that he's 26 and the likelihood that he improves so much that we can won with scrubs surround him and JT is minimal.

White was a good signing. Brogdon worked until he didn't and I can't comment on Gallo as he's not seen the floor. I'm not saying he's not done some good things, but smaller, well made decisions get wiped out with major miscues.

If he makes the wrong call on brown, he will have wrecked this opportunity. DA put the team in position and Brad so far is good at allowing that window to be squandered while Joe added years of experience. You only get so many swipes before a rebuild. We can't just keep expecting next year will be as good as an opportunity.

I'll never believe we will have good odds to win it all with an offense centered around living and dying by the 3. That works great in the reg season but it doesn't in the playoffs(with very few exceptions).
