It doesnt help when your coach benches you for over half of the 4th qtr.. Tatum was starting to cook in the 3rd and then Joe sat him from the start of the 4th until 5:45 left in the game and the lead was completely gone. Jimmy Butler is what 33 years old and playing the whole entire 4th and sometimes the whole 2nd half but our Coach thinks sitting Tatum for 7 minutes in a playoff game 4th qtr is smart
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Tatum played the first 3 minutes of the fourth.

Jimmy sits to start the fourth quarter and has all playoffs.

Tatum is lost like the rest of team once it comes down to execution time. Thats what happens when you have weak mental players with no coach.

When you're getting doubled, the rest of your team isn't making them pay for the doubles, and your coach is incompetent to make any adjustments to address this issue, then of course you're going to look lost and not get up a bunch of field goals.

Agreed. I view these two losses as a huge indictment on Jaylen Brown. He regularly disappears in the clutch and gets little flack for it. The team is playing 4-on-3 nearly the entire fourth as Tatum is blitzed, but Jaylen's slow reads dissipate that advantage.

I was referring to game 1. Butler played the whole 2nd half and that was with an 11 point lead to start the 4th. While Tatum sat out when we needed his offense the most and Joe went with PP

Tatum has been comfortably our best player, and the second best in the series. 32/10/4.5 on high efficiency, generating lots of fouls too. Spo starts to clamp the defence on Tatum in the 4th, doubling him and forcing him to pass. Tatum's passing has improved to be very high level for a big wing. So, he makes the right read and passes the ball, often to Brown, Smart or Horford.

Brown is averaging 19PPG on 39/15/50 shooting. Terrible.
Smart is averaging 10PPG and 7APG on 42/43/70. Been okay, but not exceptional.
Horford is averaging 4.5PPG on 31/13 shooting. Terrible does not even begin to cover how awful Horford has been. He has been comparable in impact to Cody Zeller...

Whereas, the 'other guys' in Brogdon, White and Williams 3, have been really solid.

White is averaging 11.5PPG on 67/60 shooting splits in 11 less MPG than Smart. Exceptional efficiency on a team that can't buy a 3 point shot.
Williams 3 is averaging 13.5PPG on 100% shooting in 6 less MPG than Horford. That's before getting into his defensive impact and offensive rebounding.
Brogdon is averaging 16PPG on 48/33 shooting in 7 less MPG than Brown. Not excellent efficiency by his lofty standards, but much more so than Brown.

This is the problem. Joe is consistently sticking with players who performing at an embarrassingly poor level. The 'other guys' have been much, much better than them, and Joe ignores the,.
