I know I sound like a Reaves hater. I'm not. But he just strikes me as a guy who will get paid handsomely elsewhere and then we'll barely hear about him ever again. Almost like Caruso/Kuzma (though I think Reaves is better than both).

He's having a "Linsanity" type of season, which is great to see, but I also think this guy gets a Michael Jordan whistle from the refs which is insane. And it's not just me, even on Reddit and Twitter people are saying the same. It's probably the benefit of playing for the Lakers. He wouldn't get the same whistle anywhere else.

That said, it'll be rough if the Lakers lose Reaves. Reaves is a great fit for them.

Kuzma plays in Washington and they aren't good, which is why you don't hear about him as much, but he was a borderline all star this year and finished averaging 21.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and 3.7 apg.  He is going to opt out and get a very nice raise this summer.

Caruso got hurt last year and this year actually had a better year than his last year in LA.  Again, he isn't in the press as much because he doesn't play for the Lakers, not because he is Linsanity.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Mo Bamba could be ready to go in Game 4. An extra body they can throw at Jokic the same way they did with Dwight and McGee back then while Davis feast on the him and the paint.

Lakers are fine even if they lose Reaves or can't pay him. They always got ring chasing vets sign them or the typical "I wanna play in LA/Hollywood" guys ::)

I'm sure Kyrie will be joining them in a month or two.

Okay, but that's literally what I said. You rarely hear about those guys anymore whereas on LAL you always hear about them. And honestly, even with Walker, Vanderbilt, etc. I barely heard about them before they went to LA. I understand why that's the case since it's the LA market. Just saying I think Reaves will be similar. Get paid 4/80M+ elsewhere but not hear about him much afterwards.

Unless Reaves goes to another huge market like Philly, GSW, etc. but I don't see that.

Jokic when he sees Mo Bamba manning him:

You can always bet enough of the Lakers to cover your Denver bet in case LA wins.  Obviously won't win as much if Denver wins, but if the Lakers do pull it out, you come out even and don't feel as bad.

nah we are good. i rarely do 1 and done plays. always a long term strategy. 4 game chase like in MLB. lakers are not winning 4 in a row and neither are celtics. i will win on both bets eventually. as long as i get 1 win outta 4 games we are golden.

Denver getting worked over by the refs late in the 2nd quarter.
